Last one, or possibly the second-to-last one…Remembering seems to be a problem when barleywines are consumed.

I stand corrected from my earlier post; THIS…Is the last one!

Strong, and very bitter for a Barleywine. The piney finish balances out the sweetness nicely though. A sipper for sure....

I’m sure my standards have changed, but this doesn’t live up to what I remember the OG tasting like.

Still pretty hoppy after a year. But hops have faded a bit. Malty, roasty, Carmel and hops with a bitter finish.

Better after it sits for a year. 8/22 and it's smooth, flavorful, and yummy.

03/09/21. Still has nice bitter bit after caramel and roasted malts pass. I really enjoy this. Gonna have to purchase a couple more before they are gone.

Fijne afdronk.

After almost 2 years in the basement the booziness has subsided. The sugars have moved center stage. Getting notes of brown sugar and caramel. Although mellowed the hops are still noticeable. Will try to hold out another two years to revisit.

Strong and malty with a touch of bitter in the mix. No hiding the abv in this. Bottle share.

Haven’t had an American barleywine in a while. Still prefer English but this is tasty. Got this in Monterey last week at a liquor store with the “OU” in the sign burned out. A 4-pack for $11.99. Yes, please!

Delicious, a bit more “fresh” than traditionel barleywine, less sweet dried fruit
