Wasn't able to pick up anything flavor wise maybe to me but it was a pleasant pour

Smooth, 11.2%, Barleywine. Thick mouthfeel, substantial head, and a full body. Malty with some ABV noticeable.

Earthy and light pine hoppyness with a sweet, roasted malty backbone while not being overly boozy.

More roasty than other barleywines. Big hops, nice malt.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had this beer, I always crave a nice barley wine in the colder months, this is lighter in body than I’d like but it still has some nice biscuity malt notes and easy drinking for 11%

Original on the right, new one is smooth. Not as good as the original, but close.

Not sure about this yet. First sip it was too sweet. Then I got the roasted malts. Digging It more. Like a hearty black IPA. Here is to missing getting a vaccine appointment!

I loved this back when it came out in 2010. Still pretty good.

Solid strong ale; not a barleywine, near as I can tell. Hoppy af

Overly hopped, not quite right for a barley wine. Good malt back but not enough. Still enjoying it but just want more cramelly maltiness.

Yep, same rival as last time. Still stereotypical barley wine aromas & flavors as the previous night. And, believe it or not it is still a great change up, yet a great reminder of the roots/ bare-bones of this style. Also, did it for the badge. 👍🤘

Complex... dark... roasted... a hint of booze as it warms... I need more barley wines

It’s fruity and sweet on the nose. The palate is sweet at first then more bitter on the finish. There’s more going on than I can identify. It’s a good beer to sip slowly and enjoy
