Bitter! Tanniner & lite gift. Bakom beskan döljs en trevlig kopp som inte kommer fram förrän temperaturen går upp över ”källarkall”. Då kommer en smaker av melass & läder fram som tar udden av beskan & ger balans.

Aging seems to have really helped this one. Malt backbone with a nice hop bite.

Really strong. Which I should have expected. But it put me on my arse

Nice malt/hop ratio with caramel, piney hop, dark malt, dried fruits, light toffee, some grapefruit and toasty notes, hint of figs. Medium bittersweet, medium to full body. Bitter(sweet), hoppy and malty, firm flavour. My preferred configuration for BW.

Roast scent and bitter taste. The sweetness typical of barleywines is briefly present in the first half.

Tempting aroma has raisins, rye bread, sweet fruits. Suprisingly pretty high hopped, sweet notes and ok balance. Dry bitter end.

4.1, pretty happy, but lovely medium sweetness. Caramel and roasted malt flavours. Just overall a very well made American barleywine

This one continues to age nicely. Mellow with a nice hop bite at the end.

Malty and roasty. A little hoppy. Nice find after 2.5 years sitting on a shelf. Christmas tree decorating time!

Puinen kuiva maku. Vähän erikoinen. Kiva paahde lopussa.

Inventory says I have one more bottle. Not sure that's true.

If it wasn’t for the slight astringent after this would be a 4.5ish beer.

Nice and roasty barleywine. Great molasses and caramel. Decent bitterness and good malt.

A strong barley wine. Better than most barley wines but still too boozy for my tender taste buds 😊. Cheers 🍻.
