Had to reach back to get #1 in the series. Whew, you ain’t kidding w/ that name. Too many flavors to name, too strong to try.

A bitter barleywine. Mellow and semi sweet malty taste. Finish of old hops yet with a sharp bitterness. The bitterness get more accentuated as it warms up, interesting. Oh so boozy 😅

Sorely needed after this long day in “how long does it take to put a label on ’it’” “drug-land”. Boozy and bitter, like my mood

Delicious barleywine. Loving the bitter hop notes mixing with the roasted barley notes. Got it for $4.99 for a 4 pack.

March, 2021 bottle. A bit sweet, but still plenty of hop bitterness. Very nice.

Had this fresh too (2021) and it’s aging well. Still toasty and dark for a bw, big, smooth, malty and hoppy

Michigan Barleywine continues. This one is a bit milder and sweeter, but it’s all Barleywine.

Roasty, hoppy, clover honey. So unique

Roasty, malty flavors with a hoppy, bitter finish. Straightforward; not as complex as some barleywines.

Darker then a normal bw. Rich chalky malt. Sharp hop quality fades quickly.

I think I prefer an English style barleywine with a bit less hop bite, but this is still a great beer! Maybe after a bit more aging the hops will temper down with time.

Dry. Bitter. And strangely, good despite all that.
