heavy on the barley. some resin bitterness, with boozy heat on the finish. it's potent, and a little too much for my liking.

Solid. Strong barley wine with a lot of roasted malt. More hoppy than a typical barley. Bottles up!! #17, round 9. Betch.

It's got a pretty light flavor, in a peculiar way. Or it's that I drank an imperial stout a little bit ago. No matter, this beer is amazing and I need to get another one to age.

Nice and malty up front but with an uncharacteristically hoppy finish for a barley Wine.

Taste more like a stout not a barley wine. I taste a lot of coffee

Needed a bit more sweetness. The bitterness was welcome but didn't taste right. Too piney for me at least, but it is called nemesis after all.

Thick and malty. Some coffee bitter. Goes great with bourbon. I see why these are usually bourbon barrel aged. Good stuff and an interesting beer since it's not barrel aged.

Nice dark caramel malt notes with a solid hop bitter balancing it. Not too thick and boozy.

Deep chestnut, thick foamy tan head, heavy sheet lacing; aroma/taste-roasty malt, hints of molasses & fig; medium body; nice, lingering hop-bitter finish.

Possibly the best Barleywine I've ever had. Hoppy, bitter like a Barleywine, with the roasted malts like Founders porter. Super unique and awesome beer that stands alone.

Beautiful mahogany pour w/a solid tan crown. Light woodiness, touch of smokiness & toffee up front; alcohol warmth leads the taste, but quickly fades to reveal roasted malts & dark chocolate. Mouthfeel not as full as it appears; lingering bitter finish.

Drinking a little young, but ahhh someone made a barleywine in 2021 that isn't a bigfoot. Give me a dozen bottles please.

It's very well balanced. Roast and sweet and alcohol. Not syrupy or cloying.

Dumped a '17 Backwoods and an '18 Better Half, which weren't tasting good, before landing on this which is also not exciting me. Lackluster BW imo.
