Smooth after first bite, strong bitter from dark malt and coffee tones. Chocolate elusive or mellowed after 3 years. Still strong, thin in texture.

Not as smooth as the 2016 but still tasty. The bourbon is also not as forward as the 2016.

It has lost some of whiskey flavor, more wood now. Prob should drink these up.

Have it a couple years. Bourbon notes are mellow, soft chocolate and a smooth finish. Hides the ABV very well as per usual. Very good, not great.

The extra year paid off big times. Has a nice fruit (date) factor in there.

Aged quite well. Chocolate nose, chewy body with a toasty coffee and licorice. A bit of boozy heat but not too much.

A nice aged imperial stout. The chocolate and bourbon has mellowed over the 3 yrs that the bar has sat on the keg. It’s a shame they have it over carbonated.

First time having this vintage since it’s release in 2017. Coffee is gone, but a bourbon chocolate bomb remains.

Dusted this little guy off. It's not bad.. the chocolate is a touch bitter. Coffee is still solid tho, and decent barrel.

Coffee and a bit of chocolate on the nose. Dark brown colour with a tan head that fades to a thin ring. Coffee is throughout, but the mouthfeel is thinner than I like. The alcohol is present, but not hot. This is fine, but not outstanding.

Four years aged. Bourbon has completely mellowed + integrated with base. Getting more oak and zero burn. Other flavors have significantly muted - some choc little coffee. Good but much better fresh. Won’t be aging any other KBS bottles holding onto

4 years on this and the carb is low. It has gotten really sweet and is like boozy chocolate milk.
