perfect execution. usual amazing base from brewery. honeysuckle is delicate and well balanced - not. floral overload like many beers. berries as described - light acidic + light sweet. super clean + smooth. not fav flavors - only reason not rated higher

Saint Lamvinus (2022) Cornwell
lci. wonderful mix of grapes throughout. light musk light sour light tart. super clean + smooth. could close my eyes and say “a slightly thicker wine - huh”. not as much of any particular fruit as i’d like
over 1 year ago
usual excellent execution from brewery. getting light tart raspberries + nice blueberry mouthfeel. not tasting vanilla at all - sadly - would bump higher. super clean + smooth

120 Minute IPA (2021) Cornwell
comments from 6 years ago hold - “Booze malts and sweet. The booze is dominant flavor throughout. Clean finish. Nicely balanced and executed but not my flavor”. two years aged still about the same pallete. will age for longer - 5 and 10 years - and try
almost 2 years ago
perfectly executed. usual excellent lambic quality from cantillion. wonderful light dry apricot throughout. super clean + smooth. nice bubbly texture. more strength for 4.5. another flavor for 4.75+
almost 2 years ago
usual excellent KBS base. coffee vanilla chocolate oak light 99 all mixed well. blueberry on top is artificial tasting but lightly done. compliments pallete well but doesn’t add anything to it. drop from 425 for weird chemical aftertaste

Wake Up World Wide Stout (2022) Cornwell
good base but not the usual amazing WWW i’m used to. light bitter light earthy light spices in finish from coffee. good touch complexity in coffee. good strength clean + smooth. light maple sweet throughout. not bad but not memorable for a coffee stout

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio Cornwell
usual excellence for this style from brewery. super clean only minimal yeast + super smooth. superb execution / mix. sadly not getting as much complexity in lambics here as expect. drops from 4.25
over 2 years ago
perfect execution. slightly smoother on draft than bottled lambic. light crisp tart body that represents style. light sour rhibarb in it is a bit like lemon not as tart though - works wonders with style. location - wooden nickel
over 2 years ago
it’s KBS with bit of dark cherry added. 4.25 on base - the barrel still lacks strength /complexity but rest is awesome. The variant - meh - cherry doesn’t really didn’t do much for me … slight extra choc was nice but no change in rating

World Wide Stout (2019) Cornwell
Aged 3 years. Good sweet spot. Flavors have melded incredibly nicely + in perfect balance / harmony. Tastes like 11%. Rating holds for this year vs other years. Overall this is an easy goto to pickup bottles + enjoy anytime for reasonable price point

Snowbound Vanilla Porter Cornwell
gave base a 3.375. Giving this a 3.625. Improves upon base with nice additions of vanilla + hint light brown sugar in finish. Clean + smooth throughout. Wish was stronger get to rate higher.

French Toast Bastard (Barrel Aged Series 2022) Cornwell
Interesting variant. Bourbon base still there - notes of caramel present. finish loses dark fruits in favor of maple sweet / vanilla / hint cinnamon. It flows well good strength clean and is unique - French toast scottish ale. Don’t think it’ll age well

Backwoods Bastard (2012) Cornwell
LCI. Age gags faded most of the flavors. Still good but not as good as fresh / mildly aged
over 2 years ago
3.875. MUST let it warm. Harsh palette. Burnt brown sugar figs leather + hint tobacco. Medium bitter light spicy light earthy coffee finish - nice complexity. Barrel adds strength / light burn but no sweet. Smooth clean + thinner.

Ok variant. Nice mix coffee light choc + hazelnuts (only light chemical). Minimal barrel - this is why it doesn’t get the 4. Tasty but not the KBS + hazelnut I was expecting.

Beer Geek Cocoa Shake Cornwell
Well executed. Loads of cocoa throughout. Cake like texture - different for an oatmeal stout. Bittersweet dark chocolate undertones. Smooth + good strength. Finish has touch of sweet fruit - not dark fruits. Flows OK but not huge fan - drops from 4.25
over 3 years ago
Coffee chocolate oak vanilla and creamy texture. Surprisingly good / well balanced / nitro doesn’t separate out flavors here - most nitros combine into a single pallete and don’t care for as much as original. Barrel present but minimal. Fun to try
over 3 years ago
Boozy AF - not a surprise for an 18%. Once that fades - the berry complexity here is nice. Can taste all four - light tart blackberry + raspberry. Boysenberry in roof of mouth. Elderberry in finish. Touch of yeast in aftertaste. Fun not a repeat
over 3 years ago
well executed. Excellent double brown base. Nice touch coffee chocolate + vanilla in middle. Says BA'd, I'm not tasting at all, docks form 4. Touch milk sugar in finish .... ehh, no, lactose smooth, yes, no sugar please, adjuncts good as is.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Cornwell
3.635. caramel + vanilla sweet , dried fruit (apricot?) + touch light spice in finish. Orange peel aftertaste. Flows well good strength + base good choice. However - there is no barrel here. I knew before buying - hoped they would compensate - they didn’t

A hoppy barleywine? Different. Good strength. Not getting much of the barleywine flavors - fairly simple overall. Way too much carbonation on pour - meh mouthfeel. Good hoppy finish - one positive. Not bad but so many better out there

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2017) Cornwell
Four years aged. Bourbon has completely mellowed + integrated with base. Getting more oak and zero burn. Other flavors have significantly muted - some choc little coffee. Good but much better fresh. Won’t be aging any other KBS bottles holding onto
about 4 years ago
Maple sweet + bourbon as main flavors. Light touch oak. No burn. Good strength clean and smooth. Porter malts not really tasting - maple + bourbon takeover really quickly. Tasty + not bad in any way but not that complex or porter like for 4+
about 4 years ago
Meh. Doesn’t hold a candle to other good raspberry stouts - such as Lindley park. OK strength smooth + light notes chocolate throughout. Finish has a medium to large bit of tart raspberry. Flows well but OMG overpowering. Light but yuck tart aftertaste

Black Ink And Blood Barrel Aged Bourbon Cornwell
Booze more booze + dark tart raspberries. Some light sweet in pallete to offset. Light burn in finish - no complexity of barrel. Waayy too much booze - sadly - not at all balanced. Only finished half of bomber - barely - drain pour on other half
