Bottled 2/16/2016, 12.4%, now over 6 years old. Vertical with 2017. The two taste pretty similar. The 2016 seems to have more coffee and more bitterness. 2017 a touch more carbonation and balance. Bourbon spice prominent, with coffee more than choc.

Aged 6 years: incredibly smooth bourbon, low acidity coffee and flavorful. Super easy drinking!

Vertical 2016-2019 from the cellar. Pretty similar. Older two are more woody, less carbonated. Newer two have more chocolate flavor. All are pretty heavy on coffee & bourbon flavor, though it tastes different depending on the wood/chocolate combination.

I love a great BBA stout on a summer evening. Bourbon up front but creamy smooth overall. Lovely.

Stop it! This BA stout should be illegal. It’s magical. The rich taste opens up and develops continuously from nose to aftertaste. The 6 years in the bottle have served it well. Not fair to all the other stouts out there!

Had this sitting in the fridge for 6 years. No carbonation and barely any coffee, but still has big chocolate and barrel notes. Aging has smoothed this out

Pretty much 7 years old now. This vintage really held up. Still tastes of bourbon, booze, wood, and chocolate on a roasted coffee base. The newer ones seem sweeter and may have lost more bite. Of course, I do like KBS fresh, often more than aged.

A 2016 back when kbs was one a year and special. A fantastic stout, roasty, notes of coffee, boubon and super smooth.

Still a decent amount of head for 7+ years of waiting. Very smooth. Rich. Sharp, slightly bitter dark chocolate notes. Finishes similarly with bourbon very late

On left. Last bottle from 2/16/2016. Very smooth but with a long, mild, warm finish. Bourbon and roasty coffee with notes of chocolate and wood.
