Seems like this is more malt forward than I remember of course it’s 5 years young. I have some others in the cellar so it will be interesting to see how they develop.

Roasty, light smoke, peat notes, bourbon bite. Fading, but still tasty.

Lost a little something after 5 years, but still tasty 😋

A five year old barrel, Giddy up (Cosmo K.) I can't say no. Still has that smoked malt, I'm still getting a boozy bite excess sweetness has fallen off leaving an earthy body.

Thin, great carbonation. Smokey, caramel, oak, smooth barrel.

5 years in the cellar, held up nicely! Mellowed notes of a smooth, deep toffee vanilla oak brew. Solid!!!

Notes were of slight caramel like sweetness and subtle wood. Palate was weaker than the 2015 but had hints of caramel, oak, and dark fruits. 4.1

Not aging great, sadly, but far from unpleasant. Still a good amount of caramel and toffee, and the faintest hint of heat remains.

Not rating. Too old. Not anywhere near as good. Don't age it!

I reckon it’s high time I drink this. Still awesome. One of the few beers that I think does well with some age.

Last bottle. Bought 8 on release at the source. Muddy like the Detroit River. Coffee, barley sugar, dark chocolate. Drinks like an old school old ale. Delicious.

Just had a 2012, and it was more popping vanilla than this guy - this is a bit of wood up front, then it more like a wet rag...
