My wife says she can actually taste the coffee and vanilla and it doesn’t taste like raisins. She adds “all barrel beers taste like raisins.”

Yes, this is nice. Barrelheads will complain about not enough BBA… #chrishatesbba but I like it just fine😁

Every flavor on the bottle is in there and hits the taste buds ... but it seems a little too mashed up . The flavors don’t really flow

Coffee and vanilla in the aroma. Taste has bourbon, vanilla, chocolate and coffee. The body is medium+ with a lower amount of carbonation. Good beer, not great, but good. 4/5

Cheers to a mostly dry basement and no more rain. Get off my lawn, Ida.

It's all there, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, milk sugar & bourbon barrels. It had a sweet booziness that harks back to days of my youth under-age sipping of the Original Southern Comfort. To Founders Brewing's credit it's not as sweet as Southern Comfort.

Yes, chocolate and vanilla. Coffee for sure. The bourbon barrel aged gives it a very nice kick.

Rich coffee character with definite chocolate and subtle vanilla notes. Thick rich creamy texture with warming bourbon alcohol taste. An excellent example of an imperial brown ale barrel aged. All you dark and imperial beer lovers this is a must try! 🍻

Malty, smooth, full body, vanilla. It doesn't taste like it smells, you might think boozy but it's not.

We're not at a jazz club, but from where I'm sitting, this brew is solid, and yes, more please!

It’s a boozy chocolate dessert! Don’t get much coffee. It’s tasty

It’s the best brown ale I’ve ever had. So much going on and at 11% you wouldn’t know while sipping it.

Bourbon laced, silky, thin brown ale. More coffee bean smell than taste, but it’s there. Not getting the advertised sweetness but there is a chocolate presence. Well done.

Founders rarely disappoints with their barrel aged stuff, really damn good

Not as flavorful as the nose would present. It does fit the genre or style of a brown ale, but the palate is a little underwhelming. Strong coffee upon smelling. That's the best part. Not my favorite by any means, but I'm sure it will age well.

Super smooth 11% creamy with chocolate, vanilla and coffee ☕! Nice oaky barrel finish.

Finally got my hands on a four pack. Pours a darkish brown with aromas of coffee and bourbon. The mouthfeel is is on the thinner side with a strong coffee flavor up front and bourbon on the backend. Not tons of flavor and lacking on chocolate and vanilla.

I still prefer the Mountain Brown series from Founders, but this is really good. Interesting blend of flavors
