Surprisingly smooth with a nice easy drinking cherry note. Not much barrel aged notes.

So this is a cherry ale aged in bourbon barrels that used to hold maple syrup. Nice tartness from the cherry that is quickly subverted by the sweetness from the maple. Honey? It never gets to be too maple-y nor does it linger too long. Super smooth for 8%

It’s NOT super sweet, but I get the cherry & maple. The barrel aging gives it an edge, but it’s super smooth. It’s not your average fruit beer.

This is almost TOO sweet to drink a whole one by myself. Never had anything like it. Hardly any bourbon flavor present. Tastes like cherry juice with a honey Meade

Strong cherry fruit flavor with a slight tart afternote. Goes down smooth compared to more fruit beers. Tasted better when chilled.

Very oaky on the nose. Drinks very smooth and sweet Cherry with a bit of vanilla.

Forgot to check I this in 2017 but I like the 2022 version better. Just a good balance of flavors when somewhat fresh.

Lots of cherry and a little oak in the aroma. Big cherry flavor, with a little oak. The maple is there, but it blends somehow with the cherry for some nice complexity. I was afraid this would be Robitussiny, but it actually works and is really good.
