Coffee, boozy nose. Rich, roasted malt forward. Smooth. Coffee, nutty, boozy flavor. Vanilla notes. Nutty, coffee finish. Great BA stout

Smells really good tastes kind of bitter and thin. Too bad really wanted this to be good.

If you like hazelnut, and KBS, you should enjoy this, hazelnut, coffee, chocolate, bourbon 🥃 , sweet, smooth, and boozy 👍🏻👍🏻🍻

2/18 — I don’t get any hazelnut. I’ll give Founders an “A” for effort but this is straight coffee

Pretty tasty but heavy hazelnut that combined with the coffee and chocolate really hides barrel notes. ABV well hidden though.

I’ve heard both this has way too much hazelnut and this hardly has any hazelnut. I think the balance is excellent. Hazelnut is primary but the bourbon and coffee are present throughout

Hazelnut is front and center. Complements the KBS bourbon-chocolate-coffee flavor profile without adding excessive sweetness. This is a tasty KBS variant.

I’ve always been a huge KBS fan. I’m not sure what happened with this variant but the boozy/barrel taste is weaker than before. Also the hazelnut flavor over powers everything else. I must say I’m not a hazelnut fan.

See previous reviews of original KBS & add a whopping great hazelnuttiness flavor & sweetness but take away almost all bourbony/boozy/barrel aging intensity. Definitely smoother & sweeter than the base. What happened Founders, time for some fresh barrels?

Hazelnut is subtle but the coffee and chocolate come through nicely. Rich mouthfeel. Not getting the12% at all.

Love this one. Huge nuttycoffee up front (like my morning coffee), with a typical kbs coffee bourbon finish. As a fan of hazelnut flavor overall (though nut itself lacks flavor), this is killer! 4.6

Really nice hazelnut aroma and flavor, but it gets overpowered right away by a pretty harsh alcohol burn. Might have to let the rest sit for a bit?
