Damn good. Smooooooth. Sweet & bitter dark chocolate up front. Some roast coffee on the back end. Def could go toe to toe with many of Goose Island's offerings.

Which comes first the coffee flavor or the Bourbon barrel aging? Dark, laced with Bourbon flavors and coffee this is an annual favorite.

Every once in a while its good to stay in your comfort zone with this classic. No further explenation is needed, talked plenty of times about this one in previous (vintage) check-ins.

Couldn’t tell you the last time I had a fresh(ish) KBS… way more of everything than I remembered. Coffee, barrel, chocolate, and all wrapped up in a fairly drinkable body. Reminds me that this is one that shouldn’t be cellared long term.
