It's boozy but not too boozy. I'm getting some stone fruit profiles and a slight curious tang. Malty, Smooth, white frothy head.

First sip. Amazing. This BA barley-style ale has the perfect hop balance, and the barrel aging is the cherry on top. Well balanced all around.

Say what you will, but Founders still know how to barrel age a beer.

Can't believe I never checked this in before! I know I've had it. Goes really well with brownies!

Putting beer in barrels where liquor once was is rhew best invention ever.

Mildly sweet BW, medium viscosity, malty, brown sugar/light molasses, fig, roasty char bitterness. Thanks Randy!

Strong malty aromas with slight chocolate notes and hop bitterness. Heavy body. Smooth mouthfeel. Pleasant malt flavors with a slight chocolate character. More hop bitterness than expected. Not boozy. Smooth. Lingering malty flavors in finish.

This beer marks the end of an era. Just left an employer that I was with for almost 14 years. New gig starts Monday. Here’s to new beginnings. 🍻

Very good of its own merit but I wonder if the original is a better due to the boozy overpowering the sweetness.

Strong toffee/caramel up front, boozy finish. Final sips circle back 'round to the caramel. Would love to try this bad boy after a couple years.

This one will sneak up on you. Smooth, but at 14.2% will pack a wallop!

LCI-FLN Tasty BBA Barleywine! Roasty-earthy-boozy-bitter-sweet with a pretty big bourbon presence.
