bumped up the rating. still pretty boozy but the flavor is really good. it's still like a half bourbon half marten, or maybe a marten bourbon boiler maker? either way I think it's growing on me

Dude, that’s yummy! Got a familiar & friendly barrel aged nose and flavor. I can’t remember having an Oktoberfest beer like this before.

Had to have for start of Oktoberfest. It’s actually much better after almost 2 months of “aging” since it was bottled. I got one more bottle so it’ll be interesting to see how it evolves. Really get more malt and bourbon balance.

10% BBA Imperial German-style Marzen Starting Oktoberfest off with the Ultimate. The barrel overrides the Marzen but that’s OK because it’s really good.

I get the bourbon taste but it doesn’t overwhelm completely. love a beer that takes over 9 months to brew. The care and tears come through in amplified color. Märzen flavor takes over as the beer warms, one and done but we’ll worth the $7.25 in the kiddie

Super boozy for a 10% beer. Good sweet flavor. You don't want to have plans afterwards if you are looking to drink two.

Really hides the 10%. Figured it would end up more along the lines of a eisbock but still clearly an Oktoberfest.

Is there anything bourbon doesn't make better? Its that time of year again! 🎃🍻 A high powered malty and sweet seasonal treat. This one will sneak up on you. Definitely save it for those chilly fall days. I'm getting another 4 pk

Bourbon, caramel, and malt on the nose. Smoothish mouthfeel, full bodied. Layers of caramel, malt, bourbon, and vanilla a across the palate and finish. I love it!

Unreasonably smooth and sweet, you'd never realize it was 10% ABV. Happy equinox and happy first of autumn!

Backlog - I was saving a bottle to drink tonight but cannot find it. I did have some earlier which was pretty nice. Not at all traditional but quite good.

Märzen aged in bourbon barrels for 9 months. Aroma has just a trace of barrel essence. Smooth for a barrel aged beer. More woody, earthy character than bourbon or alcohol. Nice caramel malt that blends wonders with the barrel.

More new hotel art. Ok I’m rethinking this Octoberfest thing. This is my third this year and they have all been good but this one is the best. Maybe the 10% ABV has something to do with that. Maybe 🤷♂️. Cheers 🍻

Malty sweet, with some burbon on the back. The burbon isn't over the top. Well done!
