Very enjoyable and tasty, but refuse to consider this an Oktoberfest beer. Oktoberfest-inspired is more accurate.

Crisp, malty up front like you want your marzen. A little lighter than what it should be but the barrel on the back end gives a nice slow burn. A nice twist.

The bourbon is quite subtle in this. For a 10 percent it drinks like a 6 percent beer. I'm digging it as it warms up.

Almost like what a German would have for dinner....'cept their Ofest wouldn't have this badass bourbon barrel twist.

Bourbon up front followed by sweet bready malts. Marzen characteristics are still present but not strong. Bourbon is the dominant flavor. Enjoyable but not really memorable like most of the barrel aged series not my style A-

Yes yes I know it’s almost January, but this looked like and was a good Oktoberfest so it was worth it. Surprisingly it had a high percentage

Vanilla from the bourbon barrel up front. Boozy at the finish. A semi-proper märzen in between.

Something tells me it doesn't come close to meeting the German purity laws, but it is still quite tasty!

Had a bottle in my cellar for 1 year. A lot more bourbon coming through than when fresh. Still getting those toasty malts though, as well. Glad I aged this one. Anymore than a year May be too much.

A high abv Oktoberfest beer aged for a year caught my interest. I didn't drink it fresh but it's a perfectly fine beer now.

Aged for a year. Brew Years Part 2: the sweet Märzen flavor is ever present. Barreled flavor still strong. Very tasty. #PureMichigan

Bourbon barrel is right there. Great sipper. This has been in the cellar for a few years and it’s still good! Sweet and boozy but not too hard to drink.

Good barrel age, great maltiness, and a good upgrade to a German marzen! Thanks Becca G.

10% ABV BBA Marzen. The malty Oktoberfest base works well with the Bourbon Barrel notes of caramel, toasted vanilla and butterscotch.

All Marzens are NOT equal! Why can't all Oktoberfest releases be 10% ABV and bourbon-barrel aged?
