Touché! With this batch Founders strike a beautiful balance between roasted coffee, sweetness and the whisky barrells, the latter sometimes too dominante, but not this time. So likeable. Cheers!

99th beer is a banger. Obviously has a strong bourbon back bone but also has sweet notes of coffee and dark chocolate. One of the better stouts I’ve tried.

J'ai bien apprécié la proposition. On est sur le chocolat amer, le tabac et la cendre. On remarque bien l'alcool sur le bourbon en finale. Amertume modérée. Texture un peu mince.

8/1/23 Bottled: Warming dessert bourbon yet feels 1D with slight berry. The thin body crumbles into miniscule effects of coffee, cocoa with a veiled harmony from bourbon. Bourbon warmth helps the finish. My how times have changed.

Bottle 2023-08-03, Batch 2216 6. Brown sugar, coffee, vanilla and cocoa powder on the nose with a hint of oak and leather. Rich and creamy, vanilla, honey, coffee and dark chocolate and cocoa powder. I have to get a bottle or two to age for a bit.

Super complex flavors but all blend together. Nice heat from both the spiciness and booziness, smoke adds a nice complement with pulled pork BBQ. Chocolate comes through on the sniff but so subtle on flavor.
