Silky and smooth. Coffee upfront and boom in the back end

Heavy chocolate and coffee. Coffee with a dose of dark chocolate come through strong on the finish. After she warms the cognac and bourbon barrels really shine. Wow, 12.4% monster. A lot of depth to discover and she is smooth as a Mothership. Cheers

Outstanding!! Wish You at Founder's would brew regular imperial stout again..and put it in distribution.

Well balanced. Dark and roasty and the aging complements it well without overpowering.

Bourbon & cognac barrel aged! Very nice roasted coffee & vanilla; smooth and perfectly boozy.

Game 1 Finals deserves a special selection! (Really between 4.5 and 4.75) 🏒🏒

Still loving it 9 months later. When fresh I got much more bourbon/cognac which was absolutely amazing. Still good but muted after 9 months. Usually complexity increases after a short time. IMHO when Founders puts this out it’s best to drink fresh! Cheers

Advent calendar #16. Dark and chewy with great mouth feel. The chocolate is like a good fudge brownie.

Advent #16. Nice light barrel and nice American stout molasses.

Delicious double barrel aged stout! Smooth and roasty with notes of coffee and dark bitter chocolate. Both the bourbon and cognac show up nicely and tie everything together nicely.

Dark and rich, coffee and vanilla linger. The cognac barrel is very prominent. Kinda wish it was bourbon barrel only

Vanilla, oak and the leather and spice notes of cognac are prominent up front. The bourbon gives this a subtle sweetness, followed by mild chocolate and roasted grain flavors. Finishes dry. The complexity of this beer earns it an extra quarter star.

Thick, smooth. Heavy dark chocolate. Delicious. Thanks Jeff M!

As usual with founders, I wanted a little bit more Barrel character but it's a nice beer for sure

The cognac notes steal the show. I was searching for more coffee and vanilla.

It’s okay but not a fan of the cognac barrel. Like it better when it was just bourbon barrel.
