🌧️ day and now weekend ruined our camping 🏕️ plans at the lake. So we will watch spring training ⚾️ games in the living room. Ash has been going stir crazy so this is a real bummer for her.

Plenty of bourbon, some oak and a twinge of smoke. Perfect start to a (well deserved) 😉 three day weekend.

Nice dark brown color. Can smell the bourbon barrel along with some caramel and sweet malt, maybe a bit of apricot too. Can taste the bourbon and a bit of caramel. Very strong, high alcohol obvious. Excellent scotch ale. One to sip slowly and enjoy.

Pairing with a documentary about George Washington's early days as a British soldier in Colonial Virginia.

This was good but a little too boozed up for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love booze flavors in beer, but the balance was just a little off here, making for a harsh experience.

Bourbon is heel sterk aanwezig. Zelfs een beetje whisky scherp. Mooi gecombineerd met de dark ale. Zoet, sterk, boozy gehaal.

A big beer to go along with prepping to make a slightly lesser big beer. Big bourbon and malt flavor, but also highly drinkable. 👍👍👍

The sweetness is more of a maple syrup or a brown sugar than a deep caramel for a wee heavy. Great wood notes. An enjoyable winter sipper.
