World Wide Stout - Bourbon Barrel Aged

Stout - Imperial / Double

Just when we thought World Wide Stout couldn’t get any better… Our brewers decided to take a Dogfish Head legend and age it on charred oak bourbon barrels acquired directly from Heaven Hill Distillery – still wet with spirits when they arrived at the brewery! Rare and often rumored about in the darkest corners of the beer community, this variety of World Wide Stout is dark, rich, roasty and complex, balancing notes of coffee and licorice with the carmely, smooth finish of bourbon. Clocking in at 15-18% ABV, Bourbon Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout is an excellent candidate for cellaring, so grab a few bottle to enjoy now and lay the others down for a few years. You’ll be happy you did … trust us.

Not much on the nose but the flavors pack a punch. Good mouthfeel with a strong, sweet black coffee flavor. The barrel aging is blended in well. It is a strong beer, good for sipping.

Not as boozy as I’d surmise and is a great sipper! The force is strong with this one…

Much better than regular (2023 version). I'm not sure about the age but it's got some heavy boozy bite.

For a beer this stupid potent, it goes down too easy.-0.25 stars for being a stealth home-wrecker. 10/10 would recommend if you have nothing to do tomorrow

PBF XIII starts. Elegant with bourbon notes, sweetness, lavender notes, warmth from the alcohol.

Funny thing about 18% is you won’t remember it was 18%. Absolutely beautiful brew though. It’d take a minute to pick that apart, as there’s so much going on. Bravo.

Okay, so a day on the Harley and you would think you would deserve a good cold beer. So if your going to have 1 why not 2. Great drinking, relaxing full bodied stout. Great job to the Brewer!
