Thick, syrupy barleywine with a slap of hops, booze, and barrel. The IPA backbone prevents any overage of sweetness and dries the palate out on the finish. Sweet toffee merges with brandy finishing with a mild acidic pine bitterness and more booze.Unique! 90

This tastes nothing like the original 120. It’s basically a barley wine, and it’s delicious. It is also very powerful and the high ABV is hidden.

Hella boozy! Huge difference from the first one I had about a month ago. Hopefully the rest will age well and come out a little less boozy. Still scary smooth for 17%.

Sweet and Strong. A nice way to kick off the weekend. Thanks R&C.

After you get past the initial taste of insanity, it’s actually quite mellow…

You usually have to wait a few years for these to turn into barleywines, but not this one!

Dried dark fruit, fig, citrus aroma. Medium slick rich mouthfeel. Very much barleywine esque. Beautiful big barrel character without being too hot. Wood, fruit leather, werthers, some baking spice. Slight hoppy bitterness. Bomb stuff.

Very sweet, but the flavor really opens up as it get warmer

ZOMFG! This is super delicious. Despite not really being an IPA drinker, the 90 & 120 minute IPAs have always impressed me. This is next level! The aroma is layered, reminds me of opening a cigar humidor. On the palate it’s malty, super smooth, sweet.

The nose is super complex: orange peel, piney hops but also a hint of lemon. Oak influences are quite mild but I guess provide some rounding of flavours and aromas. On the palate it’s both malty, sweet and bitter, and hides the alcohol very well. Yum yum

Very reminiscent of Barleywine, smooth big boy beer. Zero hint of the high octane 17% 💪🏻

This is right up my alley. Booze takes on Utopia’s brandy quality, sweetness thankfully takes a backseat.

Woof, 17%! Dare I say, it is almost too rich for me, but seeing the current situation my DND compatriots & I are in, this does call for some liquid courage.

12oz bottle. Great stuff! Like an IIPA, BA BW, Cognac hybrid with an amazing array of malt, hop, oak, booze, grape skin and dried fruit flavors. Not shy at 17% ABV! Finally got this one (and a few of them).

Can’t say whether the barrel aging changed the flavor, but still as tasty as always!

A shock to the system. Why wouldn't you? Another brewery tour day.

Foamy head that quickly dissipated. Sweeter than the regular 120 with a less boozy smell.

Big and chewy and somehow not too bitter at all. Barrel notes make nearly every beer better. Enjoyable sipper on this 4th of July
