Wow this is a mammoth beer. Barrel is def there. Very rich and syrupy. Still some hop flavor if you swish it around near the edge of your tongue. I like fresh regular 120 better.

It's ok, where are the hops though.

Not much to write home about on the nose of this beer, but it makes up for it in the taste. It’s a BA barley wine at this point.

A ton of the Utopias comes through. Some of the hops and bitterness of the IPA are still present, but they're mostly overtaken by Utopias. It's boozy, but pretty well balanced, I think. It's good, but pretty rich.

Well executed but nothing more unique than a BA Barleywine

Holy smokes! Pure melody. Caramel and toffee bring this home, but that ABV ain’t sneaking up on anybody.

Boozy. I suppose you can’t fully mask a 17% bomb. -CJ

Boozy AF. So boozy I'm not sure I can even tell what kind of beer is under there. But it's tasty.

Solidly boozy.... Hops come after the initial whiskey hit with some sweet flavors. Strong AF

No IPA notes left. What we've got here is a boozy, raisin-y strong ale reminiscent of the early aughts. The Utopias barrel is indiscernible. Great drinkability saves the day.

Hello - found you! Massive caramel, toffee, and British biscuit cookies with vanilla icing in between. Super tasty.

Going to give it a 4 it it’s not something I could drink a lot of. Just too rich and thick.

I usually can't say no to 120 on tap. But 120 on Utopias? I'd travel a ways to have this one. I just stumbled on this tonight, and I'm happy I did. It's strong, it's tasty, and the barrel comes through a lot.

This is a damn unique, enjoyable beer; but it’s a freshie (2023)… I almost regret opening it: I betcha it will be exponentially better after laying down in the bottle for 12-18 months. So damn good; BUT as is, the booziness & hoppiness kinda clash a bit.

Sweet, wood, sherry, a lot of barrel booze to add to already high booziness. Interesting to mix the wood and vanillin with the sweet hops.

Utopias barrel aged for the win. Raisin/prune sweetness to balance the 17% ABV and massive hops. Non-Utopias barrel aged versions in past years weren’t this complex and tasty.
