Another older beer I had sitting around in my fridge that I found when cleaning everything out after Beryl.

Sadly this in not as good as 120โ€™s from the 2000โ€™s. I still have bottles of โ€˜03 & โ€˜07 that are obviously a different recipe. This beer is more like 105 minutes. It lacks depth, body & complexity that aging can not help. Still a good beer, Just not 120!

Orange/light-umber with the thinnest eggshell head. Medium-light body, & mouthcoating. Hop-profile way more mild than I expected. Nicely balanced w/ delicate notes of tangerine, agave nectar, grapefruit, and brandy. Warming alcohol, but not harsh.

Feel like this style has lost its charm. I used to love these, but hazy TIPA's have ruined me.

From Sunday. I've always had a liking to this beer. Big, bold malt profile with balanced hops. I wouldn't age these beers to get the maximum hop flavors.

#coronapocalypse continues. DFH 120 is still a good beer, but it just isn't what it was in the days of yore when a tapping meant you had to be early to get a ticket to get a small pour. You can't crank up production and maintain that same profile.
