Can’t believe I nearly forgot to log this at HackBros B. after splitting the’14. A little more bite than the other, definitely a distinct difference bw the two.

02/01/2021 there's a 120 forwards and a 120 backwards. Probably how I'll feel tomorrow.

More like a barleywine at this point. Intense, well-preserved, impressive. #drinklocal

Big smooth malty sweet triple IPA. BIG smooooth sipper. Did I say smooth? Mild hop notes.

Taste roses. Very smooth but this is the oldest I would go.

Wish I had a fresh one to compare with. Still has some heat.

Pretty solid! Tough to differentiate from a barleywine right off the bat, but unmistakably becomes a great TIPA as it warms

Found a 4-pack of this in the liquor store today! Pre-aged goodness.

I haven't had a drink, yet. At 18% ABV, this is the size of the pour. After aging three years, this isn't nearly the alcohol punch in the face as it is when first bottled. It has a sweetness to it, similar to a mead or barleywine.

Pulled from the cellar. Honey-like aroma with a bitter finish, with notes of toffee. Also, a bit of agave?

Merry Christmas to me....and yes, I am watching Die Hard.

Mini vertical with '14 and '16. This was the most malty.

When you consider the fact that it’s 20% stronger than the strongest beer you can usually find, it gets serious clout. Hello, LUCA

Thick body with slight carbonation; Notes of burnt caramel and fig upfront with a piney hop bite on the finish. Slight alcohol heat. Would still be good in a few years.

Some beers stand atop for long periods of time, this classic is still one of the best well rounded beers and a style that no one else can pull off. And now at 3 years the patience has paid off.

When your wife( who hates IPAs) says “this is delicious “, you know you’ve entered barley wine territory. I happen to agree.

Monday, not as flavorful as I remembered, probably influenced by a full stomach from dinner.
