Deep caramel notes before resinous spice. Bitter but smooth. Thanks again Jay

Yes, I still had 1 last bottle of this. I can’t believe how well this held up. Tastes like a nutty BA barley wine. Definitely some sort of oxidation going on, to be expected.

Boozy! Mind as well be sucking on an extra strength Halls, covered with rubbing alcohol, and served on a bed of 2 week soggy tobacco leaves. Ah, yea kinda pleasant. 🤪

Merry Christmas to All! 6+ years old and age is on its side. Boozy, malty sweetness and smooth. Hops stand strong and lingers on the follow thru. Better than the last one 2 years ago.

Yanked this out of the cellar.. wow.. Aged 120 is excellent! Tastes like 10% not almost 20%! Similar to an excellent barleywine in flavor.. very complex

Hops have faded to a light resin/floral character with almost no bitterness and a big caramel maltiness

4/18/14. Yet another “oldie” that is still aging well.

Bottled 9/17/14 - I am getting a lot of dark fruit and malt. It’s very boozy (18% ABV) and masks almost all of the extreme level of hoppiness (fine in my book). There is a burn, like a fine liquor, that coats my tongue. This dark, aged beer is excellent.
