Big sweetness up front, some acidic fruit in the middle, and expected warmth to n the back end. Smooth and complex, a nice sipper considering the firepower behind it, but not exactly my cup o tea

Today qualifies as an occasion special enough for this 5-year-old bottle of awesome.

Two years aged, the cherry and cocoa really come through

Very unique indeed. Not sure if cellaring this for 5 years was the right call it not, it was a little syrupy for me, but the booziness was mellowed

Nice fruit/chocolate combo. Mixed flavor following that.

Another cellar pull for my birthday week. Little green these days. Alcohol heat has mellowed a lot. Chocolate and cherry still prevalent. Aged pretty good

Funky dark fruit nose, honey sweet and bitter, malty, Barleywinesque, syrupy warm hints of chocolate and cherry, sour is more in nose, cherries finish the palate

This one has aged very well. Thick, rich and way less boozy now. Yum.

Five years aged, was pretty solid. Interesting, to say the least

Anniversary beer to celebrate our anniversary! It's probably aged better than I have...

Had this beer at the release party and thought it tasted like Rocket Fuel. The Cellar did wonders for this beer. Nice chocolate cherry 🍒 finish with boozy touch

Jen got this for me when we were first dating, 5 years ago. I tried it once when it first came out and it has gotten much better with age. Still very intense, thick and sweet but the flavors are much more harmonious now.

Sweet and thick. Almost syrup. Can tell its high in the alcohol department. I quite like it

2015. Not much carbonation. Tastes better than it did before.

disappointing. 5 year old bottle, still very boozy. tartness a tad artificial, beer itself was thin. chocolate had faded

As strong as ever! Rich cherries everywhere, sweet chocolate, and boozy. Probably my last bottle and that makes me sad.

It's gotten somewhat better but it's still Robitussin and cake rocket fuel

Holy moly this thing is strong and smooth. It’s been aging for probably 3-4 years in my fridge and I completely forgot about it until tonight. I now wish I picked up more of this before they stopped making it.

Ruby-hued deep amber; no head; toffee; sour cherry; semi-dark chocolate; raisin; subtly tannic; candied sweetness; significant alcoholic warmth; highly viscous; no carbonation; moderate+ bitterness.

Pretty amazing from 2015, too bad they only brew it for the 20th anniversary

Thursday. Really good, but does not warrant price ($18? Back in 2017?).

Aging this a few years probably helped cut down the alcohol heat. Cherry and a bit of chocolate coming through.

This is literally the most foul beer I've ever drank. Expensive drain pour.

20th anniversary beer enjoyed 5 years after it was produced. Happy 25th anniversary DFH

10/20/15 bottling. Hearing I should have drank it 2 yrs ago, no carbonation says so. Malt, sweet w/chewy mouthfeel. Imho this is like an aged Immortale w/maraschino cherry in the finish. 17%ABV is hidden.

Very special and very unique taste. Rated a little higher than I usually would because it’s so special. You can definitely taste the cherries!

17 percent alcohol. Gift from little Paul several years ago. Split with John watching a bowl game. Pretty good. A little sweet for me. So glad to have the chance to sample/taste this brew.

Celebrating Dogfish Head's 25th Anniversary and the end of a crazy year with a beer from their 20th anniversary. Never had this one fresh, but still tasting lots of cherry and a hint of that chocolate.
