Big sweetness up front, some acidic fruit in the middle, and expected warmth to n the back end. Smooth and complex, a nice sipper considering the firepower behind it, but not exactly my cup o tea

Very unique indeed. Not sure if cellaring this for 5 years was the right call it not, it was a little syrupy for me, but the booziness was mellowed

Another cellar pull for my birthday week. Little green these days. Alcohol heat has mellowed a lot. Chocolate and cherry still prevalent. Aged pretty good

Funky dark fruit nose, honey sweet and bitter, malty, Barleywinesque, syrupy warm hints of chocolate and cherry, sour is more in nose, cherries finish the palate

Had this beer at the release party and thought it tasted like Rocket Fuel. The Cellar did wonders for this beer. Nice chocolate cherry 🍒 finish with boozy touch

Jen got this for me when we were first dating, 5 years ago. I tried it once when it first came out and it has gotten much better with age. Still very intense, thick and sweet but the flavors are much more harmonious now.

Holy moly this thing is strong and smooth. It’s been aging for probably 3-4 years in my fridge and I completely forgot about it until tonight. I now wish I picked up more of this before they stopped making it.

Ruby-hued deep amber; no head; toffee; sour cherry; semi-dark chocolate; raisin; subtly tannic; candied sweetness; significant alcoholic warmth; highly viscous; no carbonation; moderate+ bitterness.

Aging this a few years probably helped cut down the alcohol heat. Cherry and a bit of chocolate coming through.

10/20/15 bottling. Hearing I should have drank it 2 yrs ago, no carbonation says so. Malt, sweet w/chewy mouthfeel. Imho this is like an aged Immortale w/maraschino cherry in the finish. 17%ABV is hidden.

17 percent alcohol. Gift from little Paul several years ago. Split with John watching a bowl game. Pretty good. A little sweet for me. So glad to have the chance to sample/taste this brew.

Celebrating Dogfish Head's 25th Anniversary and the end of a crazy year with a beer from their 20th anniversary. Never had this one fresh, but still tasting lots of cherry and a hint of that chocolate.
