To call a 15.5% ABV brew “boozy” is a bit of an understatement. But I needed a designated driver to get from my dining room to the family room. Just sayin …

Deep, dark, heavy, flavorful… very good for a non-bourbon barrel stout! Happy this came as a single, a 4-pack is pricy…

Roast gives way to vanilla and bourbon sweetness. Has enough ABV to hold off the sweetness. Absolutely a sipper and missing a little complexity to make it true top drawer.

Nothing like going to pay after three and a half hours of delicious grub and libations, only to realize you left your wallet, ID and proof of insurance at home in the other car. Thank god for wives and Venmo. Rich, boozy, coffee, roasty. Fantastic.

Beerfest. Pretty good overall but not the best stout.

Definitely a sipper. Warms the innards. Roasty goodness.

I couldn't help myself. It's right here and so good. Rich chocolate and coffee notes, smooth for the ABV, all-over easy going for one of the most classically strong stouts.

It's a little too strong for me, but really good othwrwise. Lots of raisin notes.

-Only- 15.5%, this one is all dark fruit and roasty molasses. Worth grabbing every year for old times sake.

Roast and ethanol exude to my olfactory. Cherry wood and leather wake after a short rest. Mellow light body with espresso and cocoa notes. Belly warming. Yup, this one is always money! #MeatCooler #crate45 (silver certificate found in the wild)

It really does remind me of those delicious Dogfish caution caps from back in the day!

Strong roasty nose with a hint of rye even tho not barrel aged. Dark chocolate and somewhat wood barrel finish. Tasty.

I assumed that an $11 bottle would be something barrel aged. The joke’s on me. It’s a little boozy but lacks the refined qualities of bourbon barrel aging. Lots of coffee notes and not much sweetness. Good not great.

So amazed by this complex beer readily available yr after yr at +15% in 4 packs now. Malty, espresso & toasted cacao. Always a Port similarity that develops more w/ age. I should have served it in a Port glass! Vertical series growing in the cellar 😁!
