A veritable symphony of grape must, stem, and barrel. The aroma is a bouquet of enticement. Velvet-smooth mouthfeel, impeccably balanced acidity. This one is a tour of grape from start to lingering finish.

Lambic d'Aunis (2017) Otter

Vinous aroma somewhat like lingonberry coupled with horse blanket, wet hay, with a raspberry sweet-tartness. Medium tartness, exquisite balance. Raspberry-like tartness with a delicate vinous undergirding.

Reine des Prés (2017) Otter

This tastes shockingly similar to the herbal tea served at the Nobel Prize ceremony. Some berry-like bitterness.

Lou Pepe Framboise (2015) Otter

Brine, jammy raspberry, light cashew fruit on the nose; perhaps a touch of sage. Raspberry, stewed raspberry, herbs De Provence, sage, balanced acidity. Mushroom.

Spontancassis Otter

This is tasty AF. Such a good use of black currant. Jammy. Somewhere between blackberry and cranberry.

Blåbær Lambik (Blueberry Lambic) (2019) Otter

Fat funk on the nose with cashew fruit and some blueberry skin aromas. On the palate, blueberry funk, skins. This lambic is absolutely incredible.

Vigneronne (2020) Otter

Delicious as expected. Green apple, funk, wet hay.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2019) Otter

Funky and citrusy and leathery on the nose. Smooth and funky and barnyard and wet hay and delicious.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio Otter

Has a touch of cashew fruit on the nose and palate. Horsey, a hint of underlying sweetness, farmhouse funk, hay. Tasty AF.

Beer Geek Vanilla Shake Otter

Aroma is dusky vanilla beans and chocolatey grain. Raisin flavors mix with espresso grounds, vanilla bean, and intense dark chocolate. I’m surprised this bottle is still good.

Mamouche (2019) Otter

Very peppery nose with a strange but subtle floral aroma. All I can say is that this is tasty. I haven’t had anything quite like this. Yum!

Porter Otter

Black patent malt on the nose with smoky notes, perhaps some day old used espresso grounds. Silly mouthfeel with little carbonation. Very toasty, almost soy sauce on the palate.
