Saint Lamvinus (2023) Puggaard-Rode
Complex, vinuous, funky guy. Either Saint Lamvinus has gotten better or my tastes have changed in its favor
12 months ago
Feels sort of ironic to be drinking Danish Franconian lager in Bavaria. It's alright!

Grenanche Blanc 2023 Puggaard-Rode
Very little carbonation, very (re)fresh(ing). Rather less sweet and more sharp than the 2022 bottle. I prefer this one
about 1 year ago
First beer after oral surgery! Not particularly exciting but that's alright, then it won't be wasted if I start tasting blood again

Fou’ Foune (2023) Puggaard-Rode
Great stuff. All the sweetness and just a bit of the bitterness from the apricots, funk, some acidity, low on carbonation. Drinks very clean. Will almost certainly be better in a couple of years
over 1 year ago
Suuuper thirst quenching. The combination is maybe a little eccentric, but the Riesling really comes through. Wish I was drinking this in summer
over 1 year ago
Orange peels and spruce tips not as prominent as I'd expected. It's well made though, very smooth and classic
over 1 year ago
Not a fan of the smell at all and it tastes like marzipan yogurt at first. Pretty nice cherry cocktail aftertaste though
over 1 year ago
Fairly hazelnut forward but not all that exciting. Good with risengrød

Oude Geuze Boon (2018-2019) Puggaard-Rode
Tastes of spring to me! Hay, funk, not super tart. A slight unfortunate metallic aftertaste. Fantastic beer considering how easy it is to get your hands on
about 2 years ago
Organic, not very sweet, can't taste the alcohol. Pretty ok
about 2 years ago
Loco With the Cake Puggaard-Rode

Spontan Goes Spontan Puggaard-Rode
Suuper tart, significant bitterness from the bergamot in the aftertaste. This one is a bit extreme, unfortunately not very well balanced.
Oude Geuze Boon (2019-2020) Puggaard-Rode
Still very young, it's a lot smoother than usual, maybe slightly metallic. Look forward to drinking it in 5 years

Beer Geek Breakfast Puggaard-Rode
I get why it's a classic. It's a bitter affair. Not so much the kind of stout I'm looking for at the moment, but decent

Oude Geuze Boon (2018-2019) Puggaard-Rode
May be the most accessible OG, but still a very nice complex affair

Sophia Lambic (2019) Puggaard-Rode
Funny, this one is extremely sweet, almost gives marzipan vibes. Not my favorite kind of white grape in that way, but still a good, round, smooth beer.

Fou' Foune (2017) Puggaard-Rode
Holy shit. I was afraid the fruit would be gone by now but the fruit has multiplied. So much damn apricot. Most tart one of the day by far, extremely nice. Keep those Four Founes in the basement a little while longer, guys!

50 Degrees N - 4 Degrees E (Armagnac) (2017) Puggaard-Rode
Shit yes, so goddamn rich. Just a tad boozy, but the right kind of boozy. Barely even tastes of lambic
almost 3 years ago
Brabantiae (2018) Puggaard-Rode
Red fruits, dried berries, there's that bit of port wine some 10 seconds after each sip. A slight bit metallic which is a shame. It's an exciting beer for sure

Round, a little sweet, a little tart, exciting! Thrilled to try it!

Semi-backlog, this was a pretty good West Coast guy

Spontandryhop Idaho 7 & Lemondrop Puggaard-Rode
Strange affair. It's tart and a little acidic, some throatburn to it, yogurt, and it has some funk I can't quite piece which may be due to the dry hopping? Otherwise doesn't actually taste hoppy.

0.0% Radler Citroen Puggaard-Rode

Very heavy. Sweet, heavy on the oatmeal, a tad boozy. Very long and very solid aftertaste.

Dark chocolate with very little of the bitterness, largely because this fella is VERY smooth.
