Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2012) Abitbol
Feels good digging old gems in the cellar again. Dry, very woody, bit astringent, hint of soy but still full of coffee flavors. Not sure about the vintage since the BBD is 2017, the backlabel is the import version. Any help would be welcome! A real treat.

Straightforward acidity upfront that goes away after opening, tannic, red berries, very shy lambic for its age. Not ready imo.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2015-2016) Abitbol
Janvier 2019. Je sais pas qu'est-ce que c'est que ce batch mais j'étais pas prêt. Notes vineuse puissantes, once d'astringence, vanille/pomme, boisé puissant. Léger funk persistant, un poil de sulfur en final, très épicé. Plat. Longueur modérée. Intense.

This is getting really good! Very fruit forward on apricot, lightly lemony, malty. Pretty tart, light funk, low acidity, shy carb.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Abitbol
That coffee profile is very intense, layered and deep, but the bourbon is way less powerful and subtle than regular old kbs, and the sweetness from the maple is overpowering the rest. This beer could have so much more.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2018) Abitbol
It's not supposed to be aged, but it somehow felt better than when I had it fresh, less booze burn/less sweetness as maple faded away. Pleasant surprise!
