Lou Pepe Framboise (2013)

Unreal. Complex umami unlike most anything I've had. Fairly dry acidity with pleasant sulphurous berries. Feels like this is right in it's wheelhouse 5 years past the bottling date. Super glad to have opened this right now.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Brut (2020)

Very little pop on the cork but has a nice soft little carb. Round and moderately dry. Beautiful full flavored barnyard funk with lots of sweet candied lemon.

Brabantiae (2018)

I don't quite understand why people hate on this one. The port barrel finish creates a complex brightness, very interesting and enjoyable.

Fou' Foune (2019)

I hate to say, this was the first disappointing Fou I've experienced. Overly acidic with less of the fleshy fruit of other batches.

Saint Lamvinus (2018)

Light, bright red grapes with pleasant dryness. Some terrific cheesy funkiness comes out as it warms. Becomes ever so slightly acidic toward the end of the bottle. An extraordinarily special in-house treat for our anniversary date!

Beautiful grapefruit and honey with incredible complex dry tannins. Acidic fruits, curry nuts, unique bitterness.

Fou' Foune (2016)

Tasty floral fruity honey nectary apricots. Prominent acidity. Fruit saturation is starting to subside to funkiness. Fantastic.

Magic Lambic (2020)

24/6/20 bottle date. Really unlike any other fruited lambic I've had. Lovely bright berries fill the aroma. Plenty of razz, acidity seems rounded down by the blueberry creating excellent balance. Becomes thicker as it opens, attributable to the vanilla?

50 Degrees N - 4 Degrees E (2020) (Cognac)

A complete saturation of lemon peel, citrus, a cornucopia of fruits, treated wood tannins, and everything else you'd want in a complex lambic.

Fou' Foune (2020)

Massively complex, almost earthy fresh apricot fruit flavor overwhelms this. Almost zero funk. Plenty bright, quite acidic. Amazeballs as usual.

Happy Zwanze Day! Cork blew on its own just a couple mins after I removed the cap. Perfectly balanced with cherry umami funk.
