This one aged alongside the Kriek of yesterday, and I note a marked improvement on an already great beer! The nose is even more intense, and an earthy note has become prominent. The funk had increased too. Still not as much as gueuze though.

Best lambic I've ever had. Happy 50th Birthday Al! Great tour of Cantillon. How good is Brussels!

Third pour. So fruity. Had this before but had to check it in again at the brewery.

Finally a Cantillon without the acrid dry aftertaste!

As red as the poppy on the front. Initially very sharp and sour, slowly giving way to more complex esters and a slight fruityness. Finishing with a light, sweet flourish with very little after-taste at all.

Woah! I thought this would be sweet but it’s so sour and tart! Very smooth and almost like drinking wine.

Fruity, tart, dry. Very sour! (Which we can handle.) The raspberry is very natural, we love that. Best of all: the huge dose of funk and fermentation. We had a bottle from 2019 which we let age for over 3 years.

Helping Ted clear out old bottles. We tried, but couldn't finish this one. The cork had rotted. Too funky, and flabby mouthfeel. Not rated, as this bottle is not representative of its kind.
