CLAC! (Trois Cépages) (2019)

Lambic - Fruit

Cantillon CLAC (Trois Cépages) is a blend of 2- and 3-year old lambics with Cinsault, Alicante, and Carignan grapes. It is bottled in 75cl bottles and made its debut in 2020. The fruit concentration is 300 grams per liter of lambic. The acronym CLAC stands for Cinsault, Lambic, Alicante, and Carignan, denoting the three grape varieties (trois cépages) and is the first Cantillon lambic to contain a blend of three different grapes. According to the brewery, each of the grape varieties were macerated separately and then blended together.

Best of the show today! 4.6, absolutely well balanced, great vinous part as well as the wild part, so fruity and deep.

For a blend with grapes, it definitely has notes of raspberry, cranberry. Perfectly refreshing. Lighter on the funk than some cantillon.

Vinous red currant and a hint of raspberry to describe the grape aroma. A little almond and maybe brie… The taste packs quite the red fruit punch. Wow liking it a lot. Very quaffable.
