Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 31 Mono Blend L.
Enjoyed this again at ealing beer festival. Shared with Bob. Complex Gueuze with a creamy body and sharp bitter sourness.

Oude Geuze Boon (2021-2022) L.
Bottled 21/11/2023. Orange pithiness throughout, subtle store fruit apricot notes. Always a fav.

Forgot this one from my picnic on Friday. Juicy and refreshing. Not quite beer or Riesling…. Kinda like a less sweet sparking aromatic grape juice

Wow! One of my favorites of the day. Yum, bright red wine character and balanced in a way that only Cantillon can. The photo is a conclusion to the morning…whew 👏

More tannic, interesting to drink. Definitely a beer for red wine lovers

Tyrnilambic Baie d'Argousier L.
Had to get this after that excellent sea buckthorn one yesterday. This is sour with a vegetal faint passion fruit likeness.

Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc pomace, really fruity and floral. Really liking this one.

The start to an epic morning. Cantillon Gueuze is excellent. I love drinking it alongside all the interesting bottles to come!

Revisiting this in bottle this time. During Zwanze a few weeks ago it was on keg. The sea lettuce is very pungent, this a tide pool beer. Center bottle in photo

HORAL's Oude Geuze Megablend (2024) L.
Apricot and medium sourness. Nice complexity. Paired with a delicious open sandwich of farmers cheese, radishes and scallions.

I can see how this one could be decisive. Bitter…but I was expecting that with the bergamot. Complex and sour. Here for “April Sours”…

Always love this one..forgot to check in yesterday. Tart with a simple, but strong boiled old hop bitterness. Bottled 1 Sept 2021 (2 1/2 years in bottle)

Love this classic. Fruity, sour, funky weigh a long delicious finish.

Ghost whale advent Dec 4. Very good. Tastes more like a pale.

Rich and thick in the mouth, amontillado-like, but I don’t think there are sherry barrels.

This one definitely improved on the orange zwanze. The orange is brighter and more aromatic, there is also a cinchona-like bitterness.

Sweet undertones. Still excellent, but I prefer the other ones we had

Last drops of the keg! Had it on The first day and the last! Still delish, very sour and bright raspberry.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2017) L.
2500! I’ve been aging this one for five years! Purchased at the source Dec 2017. It’s woody and earthy. Good acid and funk.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio L.
Drinking this after a Jura Sauvign. Similar oxidation. cantillon is sharper in its acidity and longer in its finish. More funk. But, definitely wine like and similar to an oxidized Jura or manzanilla fino sherry

Soft in the way a silky oaked Chardonnay is…rich in the mouth. Slightly sweeter.

Blåbær Lambik (Blueberry Lambic) L.
Simple blueberry, not sweet. Vanilla. Wine like, lots more carbonation than my other Cantillons.very good.

Lambic Vin Jaune / La Vie es Belge L.
So fitting, we started the week at La Percée du vin Jaune. Now Tissot barrel aged Cantillon. Such a fitting combination. It is luxurious in the mouth. The oxidized Chardonnay is strong, and the lambic makes it all very floral. Love this bottle.

CLAC! (Trois Cépages) (2019) L.
For a blend with grapes, it definitely has notes of raspberry, cranberry. Perfectly refreshing. Lighter on the funk than some cantillon.

So good. Tart light sweetness ,good funk, floral...perfect sunny spring drinking.

Nose: so beet root Taste: it captures the freshest beet. Somehow better than juiced beet. I’m so im-pressed... pun intended.
Grassy and sweet spring onion and allium. It is elderflower, but not the cloyingly sweet, more vegetal. Pairs beautifully with the Zwanze Brettrave.
Dark fruits, thicker mouth feel...almost wine...a finer Lambrusco, but more tart.
Jammy like a jelly doughnut. Thick mouthfeel, one of the sweetest cantillons I’ve had
over 4 years ago
Refreshingly vegetal. The beet is very apparent, but the tartness and cantillon funk carries a long finish. Delicious! (Zwanze inspired beet toasty in background)

It never disappoints! Slightly resinous, perfect funk and a tart cherry that carries through. This bottle is from Dec 17...amazing!
