Ashanti Palmieri

Had this one during zwanze...and it is even growing. Strong on pepper but absolutely balanced and elegant, floral, tasty. Very well going on, and again perfect pair with its dish.

La Vie est Solidaire (2019) Palmieri

Not a solidaire, just a swap of labels, usual belgian way..but I've got pics so I'm ok with it. LoL.Older batches where more characterized I must say, but this one is still so balanced and nice.Dish was good but was expecting more, but grows with beer.4.4

Lou Pepe Kriek (2013) Palmieri

Outstanding. This is right now in a glorious shape, and even grows with warming. Pulpy and vivid cherries, cinnamon all over, smoothness is so deep. Also perfect pairing with its dish (decent even with the added entrée 😅). 4.7

Signorina (2023) Palmieri

In a nice shape, but the cork, as usual, ruined it. Everything so corky, but vinous and some elegance show. 4.1? 4.15?

Grenanche Blanc 2023 Palmieri

Really really spot on. Balanced, great grapes, elegant one. Nice work indeed. 4.4

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2024) Palmieri

Well, wait, this is completely flat. Completely. Like a Bruocsella, you know. Haven't had one for a while I must say. The base is decent but the hoppy part feels strange with the carb and there's a strange sweet part. 3.8

Blåbær Lambik (Blueberry Lambic) (2019) Palmieri

Centered this time, no offs nor particular problems, just a bit...easy? Nice lambic, decent blueberry part, but lacks a real kick. Drinks easily.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2024) Palmieri

Seems like fermentation didn't start on this one 😅 almost flat, no foam, some base lambic notes but pretty weak in the end, not reaching the right spot. 3.2

Zwanze 2024 - MMXXIV Palmieri

There might be some decent note from the seaweed, but this beer is totally WRONG. Worst zwanze for me, hands down. The sea note has taken over, and not a clean sea, like the ones in Campania full of illegal dumping with mussels growing everywhere...

Rose De Gambrinus 2024 Palmieri

Best of the show at zwanze night. Had an old batch pretty similar to this one, like a raspberry candy, perfectly centered and nice to have. 4.6

Ashanti (2023) Palmieri

Indeed nice, even though the final recipe is not exactly the same this one seems like the old zwanze is growing, with the special pepper not more extreme on a simple black pepper note, but giving some good floral and orange peel notes. 4.35

Sang Bleu (2023) Palmieri

Maybe more a 4.35, but the balance on this one is very surgical, gentle lambic part and the berries are perfectly used, can taste every single part of it, giving some little but pleasant astringency. Bit too much lactic with warming. 4.4

Oude Geuze Boon Vat 122 Palmieri

Last of the vat box, the only one a bit different. The base is still the same, a tad less woody but some little spiciness, citrusy, flavors are very well balanced but it's a bit too dry, even short. 4.2

Oude Geuze Boon Vat 93 Palmieri

This last VAT box is made by much more similar OG, always growing from a bottle to another. This one is again more balanced than the previous 2, really nice to have with a strong mark from the 8%abv. Let's see with the last bottle! 4.3

Oude Geuze Boon Vat 59 Palmieri

Pretty similar to the Vat 16 had yesterday, this one is more balanced on flavors, so it's indeed a good one.

Nice one I must say. Some sorta citrus lambic 😅 like a nice "blend" between bitter and sweet oranges, though the sweet ones remain in the back, bitterness is pretty strong but barrel notes give some balance, and the beer stasera pretty elegant. 4.15?

Lambic Vin Jaune / La Vie Est Belge (2022) Palmieri

Might be the most centered batch of lveb ever. Not extreme on spiciness and so balanced between the parts. 4.6. Thanks Eric N.!

Mamouche (2023) Palmieri

Almost a perfect Mamouche this time. The lambic is nice, just a bit taken apart from the elderflower, hiperpowerful but so tasty. Liked it a lot. 4.6

Saint Lamvinus (2023) Palmieri

Extreme on salami skin, as some guys use to say (😅) but in the end nice. Not the best had for sure but good.

La Corvée Palmieri

Hope I can try this one again, maybe the bottle had been too much time out of the fridge, but something weird was starting to show: aroma was strange, mouth was pretty messy with some vinous and so many offs. Not great as I expected, this for now.

Nuit Bruxelloise (2021) Palmieri

Much more centered than the one had at the Moeder during quintessence, this one is pretty sumptuous and elegant, but still some messy flavour, with a hint of acetic, comes out with warming. 4.3 should do.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2020) Palmieri

Pretty difficult to rate. Starts as a regular and in shape cantillon gueuze, lemony and funk, some tears like little mineral, bit tart and grapefruity. Tends to have a little acetic drift with warming. 4.15. As usual pretty good with mussels 😅

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2015-2016) Palmieri

4.2. In a good shape, growing, but for sure still has to grow in complexity from my experience with it. Flat, woody, oranges everywhere. Nice lambic, dosed, not extreme.

Iris (2018) Palmieri

Usual shitty cork, but this one is drinking greatly right now, 4.4 is due. So good, funky and tart, it really has so much of a lambic still not being one 😅😁 good one.

50°N - 4°E (Batch 7 - 2020) Palmieri

Note to my haters and great suckers: I gave credit to 50n b6, almost came out with b7, that is the one acetic, short, with just a distant note of cognac and a hint of offs from the rum after warming. 2.8. And I'm fine with my palate while you suck balls.

Nath (2021) Palmieri

Last one not yet tappd. Again pretty good, this time maybe just too clean and centered, needs more complexity and "wilderness". Still good and tasty though. 4.2?

Nath (2020) Palmieri

Again a Nath not tappd. And again a nice one. Rhubarb is pretty present but sulfur notes are absolutely on a leash, covered by some nice orange flavors.

Nath (2019) Palmieri

Too many old nath not rated...and that's strange. Let's drink 'em then. This one is growing smooth, with just a little hint of the usual sulfur note from the rabarber. Pretty refreshing and enough complex, the right way after the "Nath framboos".

12" Winale Palmieri

Out of the ashes of my cellar...here comes the old Mikk. Strong belgian base, great to see no oxidation came in, just the sweet part is maybe stronger. Not much of a champagne, but still so much from the grapes, fruity and good. 3.9 is well deserved.

Kriek Mariage Parfait (2015) Palmieri

Not had one in a while, but still pretty solid one. Not strong on tartness or else, very fruity and elegant, just lacks of layers and complexity and needs a more wild spirit, but it's pretty tasty in the end. 4.1

Nath (2022) Palmieri

One of the best, if not the best, Nath from cantillon from the beginning. And that's a big thing considering they started to release way too fresh beers for the kind of things they brew...

Racine 2022 Palmieri

I don't wanna be the usual guy going against the flow but...I really liked this one way more than the first 2 batches. Has still an acetic note, but this one has character, and the right notes from THOSE wines. Nice beer.

Fou’ Foune (2022) Palmieri

Had way better batches. They started to release too young beers, so this one is mainly an elegant "salami lambic" (not just the skin, it's really meaty). Way after half glass the fruit starts to show consistently. Good, but had better. 3.85? 3.9?

Rosé De Gambrinus (2022) Palmieri

Not sure if a problem with the cask, this one came out completely flat. Might have been a bit more difficult to drink without carbonation, but the flavors are just superincreased: the fruit explodes! 4.4

Grand Cru Bruocsella Brut Bxl Beerfest V.2022 Palmieri

Nice one, got the other batches but haven't tried 'em yet. Nice cognac note, full of floral and aromatic elements, the only problem here is the strong acetic note. The rest of the good notes does the sip, but that one ruins a bit the final result. 4.10

American Dream Palmieri

Waaay too old, as Daniele told while giving this one to us, but still drinkable and easy. Too crispy indeed, old hops breaking in, all of the fruitiness shows in some dried orange peel, earl grey tea still there. 3.35, might be pretty ok when fresh though

Oude Geuze A L'Ancienne VAT 108bis Mono Blend (2018) Palmieri

Again a pretty good work. Wood, citrusness, a great sry bitterness on the finish like a good champagne. 4.15

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 108 Mono Blend Palmieri

Again great work here: very nicely aged one, has the mark of Boon as a base but can feel some nuances that recall 3F, with a bit less complexity, and some flavors "Loon-like". Woody and tears with gentle tartness. 4.3

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio Palmieri

Completely forgot to add this one from a few days ago. 2017, not in proper glassware, still in a pretty good shape. So citrusy and dry, tears, tart, grapefruit. 4.3

Nelson Sauvin Brut 2020 Palmieri

Decent, does what it has to as a "biere de champagne", but there's also many other examples, in Belgium but also in Italy, better than this. Has the right feel but seems old. A gift from Mik though, so it's good, lol. 3.3

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise 2021 Palmieri

Not bad, easier than usual, but mostly way less hoppy than usual. Like an old one. And not sure it's a big problem.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2021) Palmieri

Should be the 2021 one...! On draft at the Zoon, this time this one is pretty good, the bitter note of the last had has disappeared, this time the beer is so centered, maybe needs a bit more intensity, but it's absolutely enjoyable. 4.4

Lou Pepe Kriek (2018) Palmieri

Still so young, but might be able to tell so much in the long distance.Nose remains a bit too syrupy, from the beginning to the end,with a little green note and a distant solvent note. Weak mouth in the beginning, but grows fast in a pretty deep brew.4.35

Gueuze +2+3+4 (2011) Palmieri

A little strange in the beginning, nose is not great at all, but it takes a bit to open up and find a way. Not the most interesting for me, still ok. Not the best bottle served?

Wild Friendship (2022) Palmieri

Last one from the Quint, and hope to be back in 2 years...! I must say I really liked this one. Maybe still young so not extremely complex, but absolutely well balanced, deep and interesting. And a great way to finish, drinking almost a bottle of it 😅

Saint Lamvinus (1994) Palmieri

Managed to get a good bottle of it. And that's real luck 😅 pretty good, with some oxidation but still alive and deep. Salami skin and grapes and fruitiness

Tarlantillon Palmieri

4.4? Very very interesting one, though the acetic note is present. But it takes so much from the champagne. An interesting attempt indeed.

Manzanilla Palmieri

The final result is not so special but I liked it in the end. Has so much from the wine, not an easy one to take on a leash, but the lambic still stands as a good base. 4.3

Lou Pepe Kriek Palmieri

2014, again from the quintessence. Still so good but it's starting to lose something from the last time I had it. Perfectly paired with the chocolate made with the spent cherries used for the LPK. 4.4, but might be a bit less.

Lambic Vin Jaune / La Vie Est Belge (2014) Palmieri

The end of my Vin Jaune trip. This one speaks loud that this beer needs time. Spiciness is present and this time it's not a kick in the mouth. Everything is so elegant and complex, with oxidation perfectly intertwined with the rest. 4.65

Lambic Vieilli 5 Ans En Fût Palmieri

The start of our quintessence. A good and surgically brewed old lambic, just not so intense and not "special". 3.85

Lambic Jaune (2020) Palmieri

Here we are again 🤣 again spicy but balanced this time, just has lost all of the interesting parts cause it's way too easy and a bit dull. But in the end this one has no particular defects so maybe it is the "median" of all the vin jaune series

Iris (2010) Palmieri

After 12 years this one still has something to say. Of course oxidation is radicated in here, but it's pretty well balanced with the other flavors. A classic Iris comes out, but more mature and complex, and still so much drinkable. Nice one.

Lambic D'Haute Densité (2013) Palmieri

Don't understand why all of the hate on this. Of course not what they expected to obtain, but a nice and strange lambic of course. Liked it in the end.

Lambic Jaune (2017) Palmieri

My iteration on vin jaune goes on in this quintessence 🤣 this time it's lambic de deuxieme passage on vin jaune barrels. And it's again difficult yet more drinkable. Spiciness is still strong, this time recalls mustard, but the lambic part lives on.

Gueuze Spéciale (2019) Palmieri

Again, you sure it is the speciale and not the 10 ans?? 🤣 pretty similar in the beginning, then it grows a bit less than the other one, remaining similar during the sip. Still pretty good though, 4.35 but could be a 4.5

Nuit Bruxelloise Palmieri

Batch 2 again. Starts off way better than the one had a few days ago at the moeder, but still too easy. Grows with nuances coming out from the grapes used. Decent but not remarkable. 4.15 or less.

Lambic d’Aunis (2021) Palmieri

4.35. So interesting and also different from the usual aunis. Spicy, so much peppery, really like no other, a bit of cinnamon, then the wine shows a bit shy. Good, not the best vintage.

Muscat Petits Grains Palmieri

Different from the one had at Cantillon the other day. Starts off weaker, with a not so intense nose and similar taste. Grows with so much coming out from the grapes, and lasts for so long. 4.15 in the end should do.

Beck-Hartweg Palmieri

Pretty difficult one, but liked it in the end. So much from the wine at the nose, but also some fresh meaty part, strange indeed. It drinks pretty good and it's also complex, but doesn't grow with time that much. 4.10 for now

Chardonnay (2021) Palmieri

Best of the "into the wine tasting" for now, maybe less interesting than the others but way more centered as a lambic and as a beer itself. So much from the wine but also its own character.

Gueuze Cuvée Moeder 10 Ans (2019) Palmieri

Very very good for the beer it is (I mean, are we sure it's this one and not another error with the tap/label?? 😅). Deep, leathery, so much fruity like stone fruits, grows so much with warming with almonds flavor, a pretty good brew indeed.

Geuze Mariage Parfait Palmieri

2012 vintage. Another one in a nice shape indeed. Easy drinkable, maybe a bit too much but MP should be like this. Age hasn't done that much on this beauty

Aronia Lambic (2019) Palmieri

This one is taking a strange turn...smoky, like smoked red radish, some berries comes out strongly after a bit...strange, really

Piacere Palmieri

More centered than the Signorina one. Salami skin all over on the nose, the lambic base is more complex and remains present during the sip, Ciliegiolo does what it has to, with cherries and sweetness. Nice indeed. A "bitchy Lamvinus" 🤣 4.35

Barbera Palmieri

It takes a little bit to open up, remains still a bit too easy for the beer it is, but in the end a nice brew with so much from the barbera grapes. Not the one you'll remember for days, but a decent one. 4.2

Chouke Palmieri

On draft at les brigittines. Classic, leathery gueuze, in the end not an astonishing one...but so solid, deserves a 4.4, thirst-quenching one

Saint Lamvinus (2021) Palmieri

Magnum at the brasserie, shared between tables 😅 forgot about that. Not so clean nose, though so much salami skin, a classic 🤣 fruitful, grapes, pulpy. Not bad. 4.15

LH12 Palmieri

Outstanding one. Old fashioned and still in such a great shape. Flat, with the right oxidation, has lost a bit of intensity but it's just great. 4.6

Aspérule Odorante Palmieri

Nice one, but also a bit too much from the plant. So refreshing. 4.15

Tyrnilambic Baie D'Argousier (2021) Palmieri

Well...no. It's still drinkable of course, but it's like a broad beans beer, first one ever had. And that's not the big problem with it: it's just never changing during the sip...3.6.

Lambic Vin Jaune / La Vie Est Belge (2020) Palmieri

Well. Well...pretty difficult one. Starts off full of curry (yes, curry) and some alcohol, becomes a coffee beans beer in a few minutes..then it's alcohol with the full flavor of the vin jaune..it's of course complex, great thing. But way too messy. 3.85

Scarabée Palmieri

On the same tone as the Muscat, recalls a perfume 😅 much more intense than the muscat one, with less defects on the nose also. 4.15

Muscat Petits Grains Palmieri

Nose is not great in the beginning, grows after a bit but still a bit too on the aromatic part, losing a bit of the straight flavors. Good and vinous, not their best though.

CLAC! (Trois Cépages) (2019) Palmieri

Best of the show today! 4.6, absolutely well balanced, great vinous part as well as the wild part, so fruity and deep.

Signorina Palmieri

So much from the grapes, a bit too easy for the beer it is. Pretty decent one, not special but well done.

Couvreur Palmieri

Maybe too much from the barrel, covering a bit the beer, but absolutely no defects and very well balanced one. 4.4 should do

Lambic Grenache Blanc (2021) Palmieri

Best value for money of the night. This one elevates the Plaisir in balance and mainly intensity. So gentle, very liked it. 4.4

Cuvée Moeder 10 Ans - Cab Franc Palmieri

Change of Moeder, change of bottle list. Unfortunately a bit too corky, but still so tasty. Complex, with grapes all over and so much intense. Has something of the orange wines, but still the lambic soul. Liked it. 4.3

Nuit Bruxelloise (2019) Palmieri

Great one to take a pic 😅 the nose is pure shit in the beginning, opens not in a great way after a bit, and takes way too long to grow in balance and complexity. Taste is a little bit better but way too easy. Needs to grow up? 3.9 for now

Le Plaisir Palmieri

First one for me in Brux 😅 starts off in a great way, some gentle sourness and grapes, but loses something with warming, becoming a bit too easy for the beer it is, losing a bit of intensity also. Still a nice brew though.

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 31 Mono Blend Palmieri

Late check. Still in a pretty good condition, this one might easily be a 4.25, but I'll go with a 4.10. Flavors are pretty centered and the wild part is very good, just needs more intensity and persistence. But it's a very good example of a geuze.

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - Vat 77 Mono Blend Palmieri

Don't understand why all the hate and also why they don't brew such beers as a usual base...very well balanced geuze, with great barrel and right flavors, just lacks a bit of complexity and persistence. VAT project is, for now, a pretty good one.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2022) Palmieri

Way too young. Some complexity, with its wild part, is starting to show, but still has to grow and show all of its nuances. Has some green parts still, but in the end is good.

Gueuze Loerik (2019) Palmieri

Not the well-dressed regular gueuze, we've got the original Loerik 😅 and that was pretty good. Flat, tears, citrusy, woody, elegant and complex. Nice job. 4.4

AK Alive! Palmieri

Again with the forgotten bottles from the cellar 😅 2015? 2016? I think the second. Between 3.75 and 4, I'll go with a 3.9 (3.88 🤣). The ipa at the base can still be tasted, bitterness is present and intertwined with the rest, floral, citrusy. Good.

Magic Lambic 2021 Palmieri

Not sure if a 4 or a 4.25, I'll give it a 4.15 for now. It's for sure too young, but also "an american version" of this brew 😅 vanilla is so much present considering the older batches, and also berries are stronger than usual, with wild a bit apart.

Racine (2021) Palmieri

This time b2 is better than b1, much more intense and persistent, drinkable but it has a very big problem: this one is acetic, way too much, and that's not what I'm searching out of a lambic. 3.85 just cause I'm a good guy.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2021) Palmieri

New phone, good to start with a loon 🤣 very good one, clean, maybe even too much, fruity, could be more complex but it's very nice to have. 4.15

Rosé de Gambrinus (2021) Palmieri

For sure not their best batch...you know it's still well done, very fruity, maybe too fresh also with some unripe fruit flavors. Has a very small hint of acetone. 3.6, might reach a 3.75.

Pretty good batch, would have tried another glass of that to find out some more nuances. Pretty clean and balanced considering the previous batches, maybe even too easy. Good one.

Zwanze 2021 - Parasol Palmieri

In the end nice one, of course better than the last one. Not so special, not so heavy on lambic notes, some far soapy note, in the end recalls more a lemon tea. 3.9

Racine Palmieri

Pretty strange one. Extremely on the pomaces on the nose in the beginning, like crushed grapes, but mainly too untied in mouth and a bit too easy. I'll try it again some day to see how it evolves and if there's difference between bottles.

Gueuze Loerik (2018) Palmieri

So many haters on this beer, but tis pretty good i must say. Something recalls the Crianza Helena, with due distinctions of course, but it's a pretty nice Gueuze indeed. Woody, citrusy, grapefruit, tears, very well centered one. 4.4 should do, could grow

Added to my box as a way to apologize for the delay of the shipping.I must say I liked it,classic, hoppy, but,as you can see from the color, it was too old,with some clear old hoppy flavor.It's still pretty sessionable, and that's its best characteristic.
