Last bottle from 2019 Belgium trip. Funky, tart, rhubarb, oak. It has a slight vinous quality that is fantastic.

LCI from bday share - drinking very well, tasted a lot older, did this blind for others - guesses of 3F, non lambics, Tommy sjef, braeb, others. Also don’t remember Iris being so dark.

Exactly what a lambic should be. Super funky, big oak flavor. Great tart level, not quite sour.

Crisp, clear, water profile, cereal malt sweetness, and fresh hop bitterness remain. Lovely floral quality to this, and it reminds me of classic Belgian hoppy bitter ales.

Missed the Pop n Hops share this week and they had an Iris, which made me want an Iris. Feel like this is quite bitter hoppy when fresh, from memory, but it's definitely mellowed out over time in this bottle. Really brilliant stuff. Cheers!

2/25/19. Wow! Incredible batch this fresh, my other bottle will go another 5-10 years. Drinks so much older than the date, wet wood, flowers, cedar, minerals, lemonade, and gwayzeee. 4.85
