This one aged excellently. Like a red grape shower into your glass, with a massive acidity and a bold tannic finish. Astringency might be heavy, not a problem tho. Deep, tart, vinous, grapefruity, solid. 4.60

2014 Vintage. Oldest Loon from the Cellar! Barnyard & Funky Nose. Huge Notes of Merlot & Cab-Franc on the initial taste. Light Berries on the Finish. Tart Pucker but SMOOTH! Aged Well.

Very earthy which kinda caught me off guard since I don't expect that for this beer. Kinda reminds me of tamarind candy.

8yo St-Lam is a record for me. The oldest I tried was a 5yo 2013 in 2018 before. I must say the grapes are much more subtle and the felt well balanced 4.6/5

Almost 9 years old. Held up really well all things considered. A little more acidic, a little less fruity, and less duration. I think these bottles peak with 4-6 years of age, but it’s nice to see how St. Lam continues to develop. Mushroomy, olive funk.
