Sang Bleu (2022)

Lambic - Fruit

Lambic blend with blue honeysuckle, or haskap, berries. For the past two years, we’ve been making a fruited blend with Camerise berries in small quantities. These berries are slightly sweet with a beautiful acidity. We didn’t have to look very far for a its new name... a blue fruit that makes a blood-red beer: Sang Bleu. Our friend Ammo has outdone himself once again, creating a superb new label to go with its new name.

Even better than yesterday's bottle (my palette mightve been wrecked from all of the earlier bottles). Possibly the best lambic I've ever tried

Claret red, intense sweet-sour acidity from the sloe-like blue huckleberries. Brilliantly different

A bit dry, has a berry skin note, juicy with a quick finish, a little calmer than the other offerings today!

Really fruity and tart, blueberry-like with an herbal finish.

Super complex very good flavor! It is like an explosion in your mouth of bitter complex berry flavors. A wine in disguise.

Maravilloso! Me gusto tanto la primera vez que me tuve que llevar un growler a casa... maridaje espectacular con secreto ibérico con salsa bigarrada.

Pours a ruddy, deep purple. Nose is red fruit, red wine, straw. Taste tart berry up front, slow evolution to jammier, cooked fruit, with a finish very reminiscent of creme. Some sharp oak, and wet hay

Got to try this at work the other day. My coworker was telling me about the brewery and how it is the way to go for small batch aged traditional Belgium beers with really creative aspects. Based on the one I might have to agree! Excited to try more!
