Sang Bleu (2023)

Lambic - Fruit

Lambic blend with blue honeysuckle, or haskap, berries. For the past two years, we’ve been making a fruited blend with Camerise berries in small quantities. These berries are slightly sweet with a beautiful acidity. We didn’t have to look very far for a its new name... a blue fruit that makes a blood-red beer: Sang Bleu. Our friend Ammo has outdone himself once again, creating a superb new label to go with its new name.

It's Darrill!

Lovely blend of slightly sweet/tart Haskap berries and good lambic; blood red in color. Flavors of raspberry with hints of blueberry, but different than both. Also probably the first beer I’ve had in Italy that wasn’t served in a dirty glass.

Semi-sweet, low acidity. Very nice although I truly have no reference point to know what a haskap berry tastes like haha

This is a beaut. Loads of honeysuckle on the nose. Tastes rich, floral, fruity, and sour. This oozes quality in every form whether it be taste, mouthfeel, aftertaste or appearance.

45 euro de fles maar dan heb je ook wat. Bij openen van de fles komt de lucht van blauwe honingbessen je al tegemoet. De lambic is nog vers, dat proef je. Heerlijk bier.

An awesome balance of fruity and funk. Nolan knows what’s good. Also, I 100% pitched the dregs into my basement gueuze

This deep burgundy honeysuckle berries work really well in the classic Cantillon lambic base. Fruit is a little lighter than the St Lamvinus which enables the complex Lambic flavors to shine through.

Deuxième en partant de la gauche : un délice. Gros funk au nez pour une pression dans ce style, équilibre magnifique en bouche entre le fruit, le côté pomme acétique, du foin, du boisé... c'est vraiment très bon.
