Excellent! Great way to kickoff Fathers Day! Slight coffee and cocoa nib flavor. Alcohol heat is restrained. So smooth!

2018 best of the 3 - this one seems like it needs a little lore time to kill carbonation and settle flavors in.

Sparkling coffee initially on the palette. Dark chocolate comes through when it reaches under the tongue. Smooth, boozy, lingering dark chocolate on the finish.

Same flavor components as 2018, but the bourbon and coffee are stronger. Chocolate is coming out more as is warms a bit.

Bourbon, coffee, vegetable. Good but boring. Coffee and bourbon throughout.

Nose a little weaker than 2018. Not as well developed but the roast is bolder. Sweet coffee with the same light bourbon hints.

Probably too early in the day to open a 12% alc beer, but it is a breakfast stout after all. And you can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning!

2019 vintage. KBS er stadig én af mine absolut foretrukne BBA stouts, men 3 år på flaske gør ikke noget godt ift øllets udvikling

Bottled over 3 years ago (2-7-2019). Bourbon flavors come out as it warms up. Still great notes of chocolate and coffee 🍫 ☕️

Still big but thin, surprised at how much coffee is there, usually that mellows by now. Fading chocolate accentuates it.

It was useful for me to have had the 2020 vintage of this last night and then the 2019 vintage tonight. 2019 is more indicative of the best years of KBS. The Bourbon, cocoa, and coffee are all big and flavorful and well-balanced. I love both KBS and CBS.
