2019 vintage. Found on the back shelf. A big ol’ bourbon barrel stout with some nice smokiness on the back end. Can definitely tell how aging effected the brew. Excellent, and I expect nothing else from Founders.

3 years in the bottle and it gets smoother! Thought its supposed to get boozier! Chocolate still there and coffee. Bourbon note at the finish…. So good.

This is before KBS became constantly available, and after aging it exactly 3 years this is pretty darn good. Definitely has legit bourbon flavor to it which is not always the case with BB stouts. I wonder what bourbon they use.

Has aged into a very smooth barrel stout, no coffee or chocolate flavor left tho.

Our Taproom got a 2019 Barrel on tap and it is delicious! So smooth and the the flavors 😍

19-3-11, ~3yr o. Drinking awesome rn. Bold dark roast coffee. Creamy, mocha-chocolate. Earthy spices. Notes of warm, oaky fire and bittersweet vanilla.

One from the cellar for St Patty’s Day. Aged most of the coffee and bourbon flavor mellowed so smooth.
