OK, so two years after I last tried this release, and it's still not working for me. Vinuous, not oak or bourbon, and a lot of debris

Very watery, oaky, malty. Plenty of carb. Didn't hold up well.

Never tried an ale aged on bourbon barrels before. Very nice, but next time I want to try the fresher 2020 version, I feel like the vanilla has faded.

Stare piwko, karmelowe, utlenione, rodzynkowe, lekko ziolowe, za bardzo marudza naokolo, 3,4, s: magazowane, puste, z ziolowym finiszem, sciagajacym, no niedobre, 2,9 overall.

Aged almost exactly 5 years to the day. Strong aroma. Past it’s prime. Aged too long. Good amount of character has fallen off, including the barrel. Aged 5 years mellowed this beer out and then some.

Did not age well. Faded into nonexistent flavor. Nose is dull and flavor is muted.

Didnt hold up. Not sure why. One of my favs. A little bland. No barrel. Only caramel and roasted malts left

9.28.17. Purging everything I shouldn’t have held onto. Had a ‘16 explode all over my counter last night. Thankfully the ‘17 is at least drinkable. Semi-muted, raisin/bourbony, but not in like a good Bwizzle way. Drinkable, but a shadow of its former self

Zapach mocno utlenione, mokry karton, sos sojowy, niezbyt intensywne. Smak pół pełne, słodkie lekko, utlenione, mokry karton, sos sojowy, bardzo brzydko się zestarzało.

From past experience I learned not to age this beer but I can’t waste it so here we go. Barrel non existent, flat, slight fig flavor but mediocre at best.

Den er for meget whisky og for lidt øl til mig den her. Den varmer godt, og jeg anerkender, at den sikkert er en fremragende udgave af stilen, som jeg nok bare ikke er til.

Almost as if a stout fused with a saison. The note that stands out to me with the nose, is a dry, hard cheese. Palette breaks cleans like a light stout.

So, what if adding a vintage Bastard into the equation, would that make a difference? Nope, not here, this bottle is surely off, must be something wrong with it. Got a sour vinegar note to it, killing most of the barrel drenched maltiness. What a shame...

500 ml bottle did not age well. Very disappointed. This one usually does better.

Den har inte åldrats väl. En syrlig ton är påtaglig, äpple? Inte alls i samma klass som en färsk.
