Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter

Brown Ale - American

They don't make 'em like they used to... or do they? The bottle shop series is a tribute to the folks who supported ragtag brewer's across the country when craft beer was in its infancy. when beer enthusiasts sought out innovation through big flavor, in your face complexity and revered quality above all else. This series is for you: the distinguished beer connoisseur still seeking the revolution that energized the industry we know today -- that settles for nothing less then the very best!

Delicious! Captures every flavor note from an old fashioned without the heavy boozy flavor. Terrific!

Strong, but not with as much of a caramel flavor as I expect with BBA. I can't pick out the cherry or orange, but I think that's what's tempering the bourbon flavor.

Right beer at the right time, some beers are celebration beers! I like what Founders has done here.

Been eyeballing this for awhile. Today I said WTF why not. Barrel aged and that's all I taste. But that's OK. I like it. I don't taste no fruit or carmel or whatever the hell else it says on the bottle. Its strong AF and I like it.

Giving this brown ale a try, was told it tastes like an old fashion. It doesn’t disappoint! Get a ton of bourbon and cherry flavors, pretty heavy but not to shabby

Wtf do old fashioneds have to do with highballs? This tastes like BA orange flavoring

Nose is amazing. Subtle complex notes of Dark fruit, brown sugar, and caramel. Really light and thin for the 11%abv. May need to wait a year on the next one.

Big orange and cherry initially, hot bourbon and caramel next. It does taste like a cocktail and that’s where I’m conflicted. Nice gimmicky drink, don’t make it again.

I would not categorize this as a brown ale, but it's quite effective as a cocktail inspired beer.
