2017 W aromacie sporo wanilii, toffi, karmelu, whisky i orzechów laskowych. Smak słodki, powtórka z zapachu z dominującym toffi, melasą, wanilią i rozgrzewającym bourbonem, w posmakach kakao, miód i słony popcorn. Niska, tytoniowo-herbaciana goryczka, 4.3

Barrel nose, with a hint of caramel. A little astringent, some charcoal.

Kinda think I like the 15 better. The liquor was settled in. But still a BWB

The sweetness has mellowed but still a great beer. Here's to my last one of this release!

Woody, smooth, and sweet caramel. Really nicely balanced, with almost no heat.

Doing alright for pushing 5 years in the cellar. (Note to self, agitate 48 hour before drinking .)

A lot different from the 15. Its picked up some weird smoke characteristic that I'm not enjoying. Hmmm

Dusty boi. Surprising amount of sediment in this one. Aging out

Always love this brew. Still good but not sure a few years in the bottle really did this any favors though.

This has pretty much turned into a barley wine. Still good. No real bourbon to speak of. Lot of dark fruit.

Noticeable differences to the 2015 vintage, overall dialed back a bit and I missed the syrupy goodness. Still a stand alone cracking beer 👍

Not as rich as the 2015, and the bourbon was dialled back.

Pretty prominent barrel, candied caramel, sweet, smooth.

Great way to start off FRIDAY! PUMP UP THE VOLUME. Aged Ale with an aged classic.

Final additional coronavirus cellar turd bottle. This is my 40th additional turd bottle. 9 of them have been Backwoods Bastard, which slightly edges KBS for most additional turds. 340 total. Covid wasn’t even a common term when this started. Final turd 🍻

Too much age on this. Pleasant flavor but very mellow. Thanks, Pete.

Aged better than expected. Nose smells of malt and caramel. First sip is met with that caramel-like sweetness. As it warms up it opens up to more spices and whiskey notes. It finishes with a subtle wood and sweet character

Was headed for an IPA, then shoveled some snow.

Absolutely fantastic. Pushes all my buttons. Thanks to Steve for sharing from his cellar!

Additional coronavirus cellar turd bottle. Got to kill these 12 oz bottles in the next 23 days 😞. More enjoyable than the 18 KBS

I feel lucky for Pete K. to have included me to try this 4 year old aged brew! Had this yesterday on a quick trip to Pete's to watch some football on a mid December day...less than 2 weeks to Christmas. Covid 19 vaccine being delivered. Great flavor notes
