A KBS variant that was bottled in December and only 1k check-ins? Variants are always a treat and this is no exception. Perfect for Valentine’s season.

Food showed up right after beer so no pics 😒 This bourbon and cherries in this taste great. Total ass kicker beer. Taster is perfect size for me.

Much better than expect. Notes of coffee and chocolate up front. Has a fading hint of cherries.

KBS is always done well. The cherry is subtle and the stout is thick and chocolatey. Not as tart as I had hoped.

Very gentle complementary cherry flavor, rich and sweet, but not overbearing. Chocolate and roast bring up the rear. Pretty polished.

Cherry bourbon nose. Creamy cherry flavor. Sweet chocolate cherry undernotes. Sweet cherry bourbon in the swallow. Fine booziness.

It’s missing some of the nuance that makes kbs great. The cherry adds an almost wine like note.
