Good to compare this one with base Speedway from earlier. KBS is smoother and a bit thicker. Prefer KBS by a nose. ~4.25

Straight garbage. They threw in the towel years ago. No barrel. Thin. Super roasty coffee. Just not an enjoyable beer. At all. Founders, do better

It’s not thick and barely and coffee flavor and not much barrel age flavor. Where are the notes of bourbon. All taste is alcohol burn. Kbs has fallen off big time.

It’s just not the same. Mass production has certainly had an impact. I miss the days of standing in line for kbs and today’s allocated bourbons sitting in cases gathering dust.

I don’t know if my palate is just done with unimpressive stouts or this was just too fruity for a coffee stout, but I didn’t like this much at all.

Antingen har jag blivit kräsen eller så är detta inte lika bra som det brukade vara. Gillar stouts, speciellt de som drar åt kaffe/choklad hållet. Detta var en tidig favorit men denna årgång imponerar inte på mig. Inte äcklig men har vart bättre.

Smooth and boozy. Getting slight raspberry kick but not unpleasant. Nice bourbon heat.

Far from the best vintage, feels the barrels tastes a bit too perfumy, need more vanilla and bourbon.
