Warm: I see what they are going for and while I think its good it may be too intense for some. If I was being critical I wish it were a little less boozy barrel aged bite and a bit more sweetness.

Mouthful of spice, nice abv. Nice seasonal feel. Happy New Year's! Enjoying this one with Bob.

Tastes exactly like the label said it would. Lots of spice with some barrel. Thanks for the beer Dad, not physically having together but fun to have at the same time still 🍻

Barleywine is a nice backbone here. Gingerbread is at decent level. Enjoying the cloves and nutmeg, and vanilla is practically always welcome. Biggest gripe is a bit unbalanced—bourbon-heavy back is drowning out the spicy front. Happy New Year, everyone!

This IS NOT gingerbread, but I bbn think it will age nice.

Sweet ginger root, late rootbeer candy note, more flat than effervescent. Spiced gingerbread cookie on the finish, but nit dominating. I'd like to try it draft style Not driving all the way to New Holland

Very strong ginger and spice, but honestly I don’t mind it. Better than artificial flavors. Thanks, James B. !

A bit heavy on the ginger, it covers up part of what I like in a Barleywine.

Finally! I don’t have to eat gingerbread cookies while drinking my barely wines to achieve the euphoria I’ve been looking for! Strong allspice and clove get interrupted by boozy barely wine and warm ginger flavor with a sweet vanilla finish

Unusually pleasant assemblage of flavors. From Bruce H on my birthday week.

True the ginger and clove overpowers this beer, but if you like a 12.8% barley with a lot of ginger, you want to give it a try.

A nice sticky barleywine for playoff football. Saw another review that said dial the ginger down to a 6, and I agree. That, and some sweetness would put this at another level.

Really has a nice gingerbread cookie smell. The ginger hits hard up front. Then you get a bready body that quickly yields to burnt sugar feel that brings an astringent bitter feel to the finish.

Wow…there’s a lot going on here. Lots of ginger and spice. Can’t drink more than one.

Solid - crisp yet good distinctive ginger finish. Boozy & strong yet surprisingly good. Endorsed by Felix

Kind of like a Dutch apple pie in a bottle. Lots of spice in a lighter barleywine. It's an interesting change of pace.

Tasty, but I couldn’t drink a lot of these. Tastes like a Xmas beer.

The spice blend is quite pleasant. A little on the sweet side.

Certainly tastes like Christmas. Did not see it around here, but found it in Chicago.

Decent given the ingredients: ginger cinnamon and clove. Cinnamon not cloying. Overall balanced but I’m drinking a gingerbread cookie. Not something I’ll buy again. Stick is like a large swisher sweet. Meh same on that.
