Surprised and happy to see this back. Coffee, maple sweetness and mild barrel. Delicious.

Back in 2019, Founders "didn't plan to make CBS" anymore. Tough to believe since it's their highest rated beer. I'm glad they changed their plans. 2023's is a great as I remember. Sweet, maple syrup, coffee, boozy. Greatness continues!

After a 4 year hiatus. I think the prior years had more maple. This is sweet and coffee, but don't detect the maple like years past. Barrel is a little lighter too. I think 2019 was my favorite year followed by 2017.

Not as jaw dropping as it once was a few years ago, still a very good beer.

I’m consuming it at basement room temp (61). Not enjoying it as the last stout I just had prior (Griddle by Burial). BUT, I can’t judge by temp. A little more booze fwd than I expected. And not as sweet as I expected
