Not a vast departure from the original at all, but the coffee feels predictably punchier. Firm bitterness cleans it up very well.

Another shelf banger. Pricer than some of the others ones I've been trying recently, but it's very very good.

Roasty espresso up front with a slight burn and then the chocolate comes in nicely. Wish it was just a touch heavier. Going to save some for a nice cold fall/winter day.

Roasty espresso taste, not too sweet, slight burn going down

A really nice variant. Espresso notes dominate with deep, roasty coffee. Chocolate comes in later giving a creaminess. Definitely in the upper tier of KBS variants. Buy a 4-pack or so and not a single.

Twangy fruit and Ghirardelli high octane dark chocolate. And a ton of roast malt. Founder does Imp Stout. Founder’s Cheers!

Coffee nose, dark chocolate flavor with subtle sweetness. Mild bourbon that hides the ABV. Excellent.

Went down so easy, almost forgot to take a picture!

Really balanced. Good roasty coffee grinds, mild bitterness, subtle chocolate. A good stout first and foremost. Adjuncts are a light support.

My new favorite KBS variant! Chocolate and Espresso are in fine balance! Nothing over the top.

I wanted to go higher but can’t. 4.15. Was hoping for more bourbon, but coffee was the predominant taste. Got 0 bourbon. Really good stout, but I save my 4.5+ stout ratings for BBA 💣s

Immediate aromas of roasted espresso. Flavors are bitter: super dark chocolate and black coffee. Incredibly smooth, rich, and thick.
