This bottle is hella old, the label fell off years ago but I'm guessing this is circa 2013-14 or so? Basically just tastes like the wood now.

I remember I had this one when I didn't realize how good DFH beers were and it blew me away.

Been in our cellar since 2018. Damn tasty. Having a toast in memory of the pictured good boy, Austin. 3 years, feels like yesterday.

Aged about 12 years. Holding up well. Mild oxidation. Rich dark malts, torched cedar, aged dark fruits. Warming booze. Not bad.

I love these special beers Dogfish Head make; no matter how big they’ve gotten it is clear their passion hasn’t gone out. Woody and extreme malt sweetness on the nose. Smooth, woody and vanilla on the tongue with minimal indication of its 12% ABV.

2015 batch.just look at that label. They don’t make ‘em like that anymore. Literally. Etoh is still there, amazingly. A little cherry/pit fruit on the fruit, with great balanced woodiness on the back.

Thick with dark sweet notes. Def get the wood taste. Pushes the brown style to its limits without breaking them! Darkest brown I’ve had, impressive!

Malty, not too sweet, hints of burnt toffee. Love it! [taster]

So smooth. Does not taste like 11 or 12%. I wonder if this is still the original barrel. It could be my taste buds, but I think it has lost a step.
